"Very disappointing experience at The Don CeSar. The price per night is high, but the reality of the hotel is completely different from what is shown online and on social media. The overall condition of the property felt poorly maintained, outdated, and far below the level expected for a hotel with this reputation and pricing. The room cleanliness was unacceptable, especially the bathroom, which was honestly disgusting when we arrived. It made the stay uncomfortable from the very beginning. For the amount of money being charged, basic cleanliness and proper maintenance should never be an issue. The advertising creates expectations that the hotel simply does not meet in real life. The only positive part of our experience was Nick at check-in. He was very attentive, professional, and kind from the moment we arrived, and truly the only person who made us feel welcomed. Overall, very disappointing and absolutely not worth the price."

"The beach bar and wait-staff was great. Rooms were decent, dated and redone. Bed was SUPER cozy and pillows were amazing. The pool area wasn't very clean, specifically the hot-tub. Access to the beach was AMAZING."

"Clearwater beach view from balcony was stunning!! Clean, modern rooms and amenities with staff always making an effort to make your stay memorable. (Lilly always went above and beyond!) Housekeeping daily and turndown service nightly was fantastic! The gym was equipped with most modern equipment, everything you need to have a fantastic workout. They have a Spa onsite as well. Restaurants onsite and room service was great. They have a wide selection of breakfast options on the menu which I appreciate. Dinner options are varied and delicious! Public beach was steps away, loungers line the beach for a fee and a free trolley out front for guests to explore other Clearwater beaches nearby. Pool chairs onsite at the Hotel are plentiful but get crowded on weekends. Cabanas are great but expect to pay $$. Valet was always friendly and helpful. My mornings drinking coffee on the balcony watching the waves on the ocean was my highlight. Weather most days was amazing! Noise can be expected at night (mainly weekends) there will be music, cars revving etc. Expect some bugs (love bugs) early May for about two weeks."

"Yes, this hotel has some deficiency however, I’m going to tell you that it is definitely a vibe and for that I gave it at least four stars. It felt like an island vibe.. lots of seating on the beach. Great drinks. Great music. And great entertainment. I know I will definitely come again. PS. I think my hotel money went to the mattress of my bed because that was one of the best sleeps I ever had."

"The property is undergoing a complete renovation so there is currently some construction that you may need. to overlook. However, for the rate offered during this phase this property was amazing! We ended up having to stay an extra day unexpectedly and there was no second guessing where to stay. The rooms are complete, new and comfortable. The pool area was closed but is clearly going to be 5 star from the work we witnessed. Best of all, the staff are amazing and made sure we were completely satisfied. This is a picture of what we look for when staying away. Can't wait to visit once the renovation is complete."
