Beautiful resort

Room was exactly as advertised and resort was very nice with ample facilities and gorgeous beach. Construction on first floor but wasn't intrusive and should be very nice when completed.

Great family stay

This property is great for families of all ages. There are so many included amenities and if those aren’t enough, plenty of reasonably priced additional add ons. Property will be even more enjoyable when it’s finished being renovated.

Breckinridge at The Tradewinds

Beds were comfortable and room was spotless. New construction made things a little inconvenient but overall we were happy with our stay. Enjoyed the area very much.

Love the TradeWinds resort

This place is amazing. Kids had so much to do. Beautiful beach. Plenty of things to do on the resort and off the resort. Only regret, we didn’t stay longer

Enjoyable Stay

We stay at the Tradewinds every year. Great amenities and comfortable room. While there is construction in the Brekenridge building it did not disturb us, even being on the second floor. Will be back.

Wonderful facility

This property is beautiful - very spacious - a lot to do and in a good location. The staff are friendly. With the pools and the gulf as your choices - how can you choose wrong?

Overall it was a great trip. Very relaxing. Resort staff were all very accommodating and polite. The resort has some renovations underway so not all amenities were available. Once the updates are complete it will be very nice

Right in the beach but needs upgrading

Room was clean and good space but wifi was horrible. Close to beach and many amenities however it is a very dated room and the main lobby is under construction. Once renovated will likely be a great place to stay.

Great family resort!

The TradeWinds is great for families and offers a ton for kids of all ages. The construction in the Blue Green building was a bit of a hassle but will be great when completed. We also had to change rooms on our 5th night due to a split reservation but ended up with a better ocean view room and we were informed ahead of time prior to our stay. We would recommend the TradeWinds for a great vacation!

Wonderful resort

Beachfront property with comfortable beach cabanas. Excellent staff from front desk, bartenders and the beach staff carrying the cushions and finding us the perfect place to sit. The flying bridge service was excellent and food and drinks were great. Our room was very outdated but the beds were comfortable. There is some construction going on in the Breckenridge building where our room was. We had a great view of the bay and sunrises from our room.

May have to move

When we arrived we found out our room wasn’t available for all 4 nights we would have to move. We were never told about it. Otherwise the pools and the hotel are nice. Great way to spend time in Florida

Good location

Construction wasn’t pleasant but we were warned in advance. This is definitely a three generation resort. Lots of small children running around and many activities for them. We were not interested in the giant beach blowups, beach ziplines, and pirate activities. Our accommodation was dated but fairly clean. The mattresses could be replaced and the carpet should be replaced with tiles. The beach itself is great.

Great BabyMoon!

My husband and I booked this trip to have a relaxing “babymoon”. Although the room was a bit outdated, it was clean and we were still comfortable. The property was beautiful between the multiple pools and beautiful beach with cabana. The pool had entertainment as well with bingo and trivia which we enjoyed. We had a minor issue with check in where we had to check in and out due to the hotel having us as a split stay. This wasn’t communicated to us, thankfully resort share took care of this issue in a fair manner. There is construction going on right now in the lobby but it wasn’t a big deal. We are already looking forward to coming back one day!

Stay at Tradewinds At Bluegreen

I wish I would have known about the construction. It made things less convenient & the noise was horrible especially at the adult pool. Ants on the property were very bad so maybe treating for those could help. The staff were all very nice. I had to have my refrigerator replaced the first day as it wasn’t cooling. The ice maker on my floor was out of service….inconvenient. The halls of the building were very hot. The beach was very nice & I like the strip of where the place was located. Not sure if I’d go back or not.

Blue green at Tradewinds

We absolutely loved the resort and it’s location on St Pete Beach! The amenities we especially enjoyed were free use of cabanas, pools, hot tubs, paddle boating and onsite bars and restaurants. The part we didn’t like was booking our reservation on Vrbo and not realizing that we had booked a room that was part of a time share. We booked a 5 night stay and there was confusion upon check in at the front desk because they said we only had 3 nights. After I told them we had pre paid for 5 nights they looked further and informed us that we did have 2 more nights but they were in a different room. Therefore, we had to pack up all of our things including our food/drinks in our fridge and check out one morning at 10 am and wait around until they had the other room ready for us to check back in. Because of a little persistence from us, we were able to check in again at 1pm, but they had earlier told us that we may have to wait til 4pm since that’s the normal check in time. So that was frustrating since we’ve never booked a continuous stay anywhere that required us to check out and move rooms half way through our stay. Also, not knowing our room was in a timeshare, we ended up getting pressured to go to their 2 hour “tour”. We politely declined but the phone calls kept coming. And finally, we had no housekeeping or towel service since it was a time share and we would’ve had to pay extra for that. That was fine, except that was never communicated to us in advance.

Wonderful resort amenities, rooms need work

Pros: The resort grounds were beautiful with plenty of pools and other activities to stay entertained. My kids loved the giant water slide and the beach area was amazing. The restaurants at the resort were good, especially the Rumfish. Cons: Check-in at the hotel was a hassle, though most of the front desk employees were very nice. We weren’t able to check in to our room until 5:15 (arrived at 3:30, check-in was at 4:00). They kept telling us our room would be ready very soon, but every time I came back it was not ready. Several disgruntled guests in lobby had been waiting longer and were told the same thing. Finally I asked what the issue was and a new woman said my room had been ready, and wasn’t sure why I hadn’t been called. Our room was in the Bluegreen Breckinridge building, which is currently under construction. When I booked the room, there was no mention of construction. Nor was it mentioned in any correspondence from the renter. We would not have booked if we had known this. The room was clean but the bathroom needed a major update. There was a 1.5” gap under the room door that we stuffed with a towel at night to keep out hall light and noise. On the third day I called housekeeping for new towels but they never came. The next morning, I used the hotel app to request towels instead and they were delivered but no one picked up the trash bag we left outside of room since the previous day. It still had not been picked up the day we checked out.
