Alexi was amazing she takes care of everything! Room was very spacious & very clean. Bar staff was very friendly but be aware your check automatically adds a 20 percent gratuity. Great location.

The property is beautiful but know the building is old. So you hear EVERYTHING! Luckily I brought a sound machine to sleep! Our bed was awful. The noise every time you moved sounded like shots being fired. When we complained about it we were basically told it is what it is. They offered us another room for $100 more a night which we declined. The lobby bar was our favorite part. Great drinks and great service. Loved the bartender and staff!

Very nice little hotel in a great location with museums and restaurants within walking distance. Hotel’s restaurant was very good and the rooftop bar an added bonus; fun place with a great view of the bay.

Had such an amazing stay at The Birchwood in downtown St. Pete! The boutique vibe, beautiful rooms, and rooftop views were absolutely stunning. The location is perfect, walking distance to great restaurants, shops, and the waterfront. The rooftop bar was definitely a highlight with amazing drinks, live music, and one of the best views in the city. Staff was friendly and accommodating, making the whole experience feel special. Perfect spot for a weekend getaway. Can’t wait to come back!

The staff, hotel, restaurant and room were excellent. The only downside was the noise from people leaving the rooftop bar until 2AM. We will be back and ask for a different room at the back to buffer us from the loud partiers.

Upon checking in, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The car needed to be valeted, so the front desk person followed me to my car with the bell cart, unloaded it and brought it up to our room. We asked for addtional pillows and they were brought up within moments. We were tired from our trip, so we unpacked and relaxed some before going down to the restaurant for dinner. The Birch and Ivy staff was also very friendly and the food was delicious. One of the first things our server did was explain that ther was a 20% service fee automatically added to the bill the is split amongst the staff. We appreciated them being upfront, as many restaurants do not reveal this information. We took desert and our drinks back to our room. Also received a 20% discount for being a hotel guest. The following day, my wife enjoyed a nice bath in the huge tub. The shower area was large as well with a nice rain showerhead. When I called for the car and it was there when asked. We went on our way to do some shopping and attend the Rays/Red Sox game and back at the hotel by 8:30. We parked the car in the valet area, gave the key to the front desk. The staff all seemed to know what room we were in and always asked if there was anything they could do for us. We only wish that the rooms had brighter lighting as we had to keep the shades closed on the windows due to the outside walkway.

This is a find! Lovely people on staff- every one of them. Beautiful spacious room and bathroom. Ideally located across from a park and the waterfront. Restaurants, shopping and entertainment nearby. Only 18 rooms, so you get plenty of quick attention if you need it. Can’t think of a thing I’d change!
