"We loved the location and the house. Deer Island is a very unique place on Hilton Head in a pine and palmetto forest where the deer come out to forage in the evening but within easy walking distance to Harbour Town. The house was like being in a treehouse looking out into the forest. Everything in the house was clean and well furnished. A great way to enjoy Hilton Head without being in the typical row of condos."

"Property description and listing is accurate. We’ve stayed in the same area multiple times. House is short drive or bike ride to the beach club. We love Sea Pines. It’s quiet, and just gives you a feeling of peace. No loud crowds and crazy high rises with loud teens. The house is at the beginning of sea pines, so you don’t have to go all the way deep into the neighborhood. That makes a difference if you want to hop out to the market for supplies or to dinner, especially during peak times. All rooms were well equipped. House was very cozy. Would 100% stay there again."

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When we arrived, the house was filthy. The carpets had not been vacuumed, there was a layer of dust over everything, and the vents were caked in grime and dust. We used a wet rag to wipe off the kitchen table and it looked like mud. The walls are covered in handprints and other markings. The floors and doorways are uneven due to house settling or poor construction. The pool was not clean when we arrived. The trash was never picked up. The owners do not appear to care about this rental."
