About this property

Four person getaway in the Heart of the RRG


  • Ursa Major Cabin is named for the constellation "Big Bear", which is also the Big Dipper. This is our newest cabin on Star Gap road, set on a private 5 acre lot in the heart of the Red River Gorge.  It is about 1/2 mile from the Red River and 10 minutes from Natural Bridge State Park, Red River Gorge Geological Area and the Daniel Boone National Forest hiking trails.  Explore trails by day and sit back and relax around the fire circle and view stars at night. Or sit and view stars from the hot tub out back.  This modern cabin  has concrete counters, big windows with views, a large ktichen, two bedrooms rooms with queen size beds, a large bathroom with a full bath tub.  In the winter, enjoy the wood burning fireplace for a cozy enviroment. There is a grill, patio, firepit and plenty of outdoor space to hang out in the warmer weather.   We reguarly see dear crossing the yard or standing to graze on the spacious grassy area out front.  Be aware of chiggers in the yard if you sit and have a picnic on the grass!


    -Check-in is 5PM (early check in of 3PM is available for $35)
    -Check-out is 10AM (late check out of 12PM is available for $35)
    -Dogs are allowed: $75/pet for entire stay (We ask that pets are kept off of beds, bedding and furniture. Pets must be accompanied at all times or crated if left in the cabin alone)
