Site of Copgrove station, 1989. View westward to route of former ex-NER Knaresborough - Pilmoor branch. The station was closed with withdrawal of passenger services on the branch from 25/9/50, but goods traffic continued until 5/10/64.

Staveley Lagoon There are a series of small lakes or lagoons to the north and west of Steveley. These have formed in old gravel and clay workings and are now a reserve managed by the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust.

We’d planned this special trip for a while and so were very disappointed to see the spa closed during our stay and we were given quite a ‘tired’ room down in the basement, which felt isolated from the main hotel. Overall a very underwhelming visit.
