"This charming Pisa hotel is ideally located, adjacent to the city gate nearest Piazza dei Miricola. One thing to note is that the reception is not available 24 hours, however, on our trip this had no impact on us. The rooms are comfortable, but light sleepers will find that the noise from outside can make it's way inside and earplugs might be useful. The bedrooms are beautiful and beds comfortable however, bathrooms are not the star of the show, adequate for most people but the builing does show it's age here, nothing to be concerned about but don't expect modern fixtures and fittings. We loved our time in the hotel, and in many ways it exceeded our expectations. You won't be disappointed if you choose Hotel Pisa Tower as your base for a trip to Pisa."

"Avoid at all cost! The location of this hotel is excellent and impossible to fault. It is central, with a lovely position on the river, making it ideal for exploring the area. The included breakfast was also a positive, with a good variety of options to suit different tastes. Unfortunately, the negatives far outweighed the positives. There was almost no protection from outside noise, and the street noise was constant, especially early in the morning when the street cleaners started. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and clearly not fit for purpose. Every movement caused the frame to creak loudly, which was hardly surprising given it appeared to be made from plywood. As a result, we had an awful night’s sleep and decided to check out after just one night and stay somewhere else. There was also no proper hot water. We only discovered this the following morning when we turned on the shower, and the water was barely lukewarm. The bathroom itself was in very poor condition, with missing tiles, obvious poor-quality repairs, and a bathtub that looked discoloured and unclean. The staff were pleasant on arrival, but much less helpful when we raised these issues at check-out. They suggested we should have reported them sooner, but the problems only became apparent late at night and the following morning. Whilst I understand this is an old hotel that has a nice charm, the basic standards of comfort and cleanliness were not met!"
