Our 4 nights at Hotel Waldstein in August 2026 were superb. The location is easily accessible by car, meaning one need not haul luggage far over cobblestone, yet a short walk from major attractions near the Charles Bridge. Our family of four were very comfortable in Waldstein's standard family room which has two sleeping areas, and the air conditioning was equal to the challenge presented by a historic heat wave. The lack of lifts in the historic building was not a problem for us - it's a small property that is easy to get around in. The architecture is beautiful, and the cellar breakfast room evokes similar underground spaces of the old city. Service was top notch; I received great assistance handing off laundry to couriers while away. And that brings me to my one note: like most hotels, Waldstein's laundry service is itemized by clothing article at fairly steep rates. It is not the most practical for a family on an extended trip. I was able to use the cleany.cz service which charges by the load. Otherwise, all amenities were excellent. This was one of my best lodging experiences to date.

Fantastic place. Great property, perfect location, excellent staff and rooms, and extremely good value for the quality.

Very spacious and sunlit rooms. A couple of block away from the historic bridge, yet very quiet area. It was easy to get to any other place from there via the tram. If you like running and like a challenge the beautiful garden leading to the monastery is two blocks the other way.

The location of the hotel is perfect to access the major attractions. Very clean and safe hotel with nice, gentle and welcoming staff. Great experience in stunning Prague From Canada, Toronto

All employees were nice and courteous. I think once the property is upgraded and fiber internet installed, it will be much better to stay in as it is a great location if you want to walk to the main tourist sites, I didn' t mind that there was a strip club next door and police station across the street. We never heard any noise and we felt quit safe. The main issue is that they were painting on our floor just outside the elevators during the day. With plastic on the floor, you were walking through paint with workers rolling above your head and painting the walls, so our shoes with paint were walking through new carpet. Paint dripped on my husbands pants and I hope it will wash out. The second issue was the non existant internet. It kept disconnecting or was extremely slow. The road in front and on the side streets were being torn up for utilities and you could see fiber optic was being laid for the area. The third issue was the towels that had brown fleas or dirt imbedded in the threads. My husband didn't believe me until he looked closely and started picking off seeds or carcasses that were imbedded in the threads. I know they allow pets, but we didn't find any critters in our room. We were able to get clean towels. The breakfast buffet was average but extremely busy and the poor servers had problems keeping up in refilling the food
