The Bell Inn
5/5 Excellent
Modern Room in Country Pub Location
"We stayed here as a couple and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Our room had clearly been newly refurbished – stylish, spotless, and thoughtfully finished. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, giving us a great night’s sleep, and the modern bathroom featured a large walk-in shower with excellent water pressure. A lovely touch was finding fresh milk in the fridge for tea and coffee, which made it feel more homely than the usual hotel experience.
The accommodation is part of a charming village pub that’s full of character, yet peaceful and welcoming. Breakfast in the morning was a highlight – freshly cooked to order with quality ingredients and generous portions. The staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive, which added to the relaxed atmosphere.
Another bonus is the location – just a short drive from the Edward Elgar Birthplace Museum, which made a perfect outing for us. This place really struck the right balance of comfort, style, and warm hospitality. We’d happily return and would recommend it to anyone looking for a restful break in a lovely part of the countryside."
