Top Stokkseyri Hotel Reviews
Frost and Fire Boutique Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"This was our first night in Iceland and it proved to be a wonderful experience. The property was located on a river in a very geothermal area in the Golden Circle. We arrived about 1.5 hrs early, but the front desk lady (very nice blonde/didn’t get her name) was quick to find a room that was ready. After long travels from the US, we greatly appreciated that. The room was spacious and overlooked the river with a small balcony. So scenic! The bathroom shower was very narrow and the bathroom was very dark. Could use some better lighting. Dinner was fantastic and the dining room had glass windows all around. At first we were seated without a view and asked if we could overlook the river. At first she(the blonde lady again) said no because we were only 2 and the one table available was for 4, but within a few moments, she made it happen! Our waitress was efficient but not overly friendly. A couple other employees we encountered the next day were a little gruff, but that did not deter us from having a good time. Breakfast was included but we arrived too late to sit down. We typically just like to “grab and go” but we learned that “to go” coffee isn’t a thing in Iceland. We did not partake of the spa or sauna , but enjoyed the hiking trail right outside the inn in this very unique area. We would not hesitate to come back."
