The Ink48 now for several years is one of my/our go to places in NYC; the rooms are still attractively shaped, the renovated breakfast restaurant is stylish and the food from the menu tasty and reasonably priced with the evening roof top place still hip and menu interesting (the view in all directions is still beautiful). However the front desk has lost some of its a-tentativeness, we now have a routine to immediately ask for extra towels and washcloths at time of check-in. While the room bar is stacked, the selection of amnemities is poor (can’t get a hot cup of water for bedtime tea, no coffee machine, q-tips, extra toothbrush?). A real bummer this time was the waiting time to receive the car back from valet, 1h20 minutes… and we were not alone. A couple needed to return their rental to catch an EWR flight; hope they made it! We were to pickup someone arriving by train and arrived severely delayed! The present INK48 valet arrangement is not acceptable; be forewarned!

I had a fantastic stay at this quaint old fashioned but very comfortable hotel. The perfect fusion of old world charm with the advantages of modern amenities makes this hotel so very unique. And as if that was not enough of an attraction, the location of this hotel beside the subway station is an unbeatable advantage in Manhattan, NY. Definitely coming back!

Staff at both the front desk and the bus captain's desk were outstanding. Breakfast was marvelous. The room was basic and the shower did leak badly.
However, any negative about the room was well made up by the hotel's location in Times Square and Restaurant Row.
I will return.

"Very easy to get to from the highway. Staff was friendly, property looked taken care of. Furniture in the room was new, room wasn't all the way clean and the bathroom was extremely worn. The kind of hotel you expect to pay 50-75 a night for, not the 130 I paid."
