"Easy access from the ferry terminal and a great bar. Shout out to Euan/Ewan for his excellent whisky and gin recommendations. Bedroom was spacious and comfortable with a view of the harbour. Dinner needs to be booked in advance and is really good quality, top marks to the Chef. Buffet breakfast a little cold, which was a shame as the produce delicious. "

"Great place for our short visit to the Orkneys! Very close to the ferry service, easy overnight parking, very close to most of the Neolithic sites we wanted to see, and great breakfast each morning. "

"The staff go out of their way to make you feel at home and comfortable. The breakfast is really good. All food when possible is locally sourced. The hand dived scallops are excellent. Sea food platter is awesome. The rooms are clean and warm. I will definitely come back. "

"Lovely quiet hotel being an old Herring Warehouse. Rooms were comfortable and had a nice view of the boat ramp. We stayed 2 nights and meals were nice both nights. We needed washing done and were able to pay 15 pounds for a small bag to be done for us, which saved having to go to Laundromat in Kirkwall. "
