Stopped here for a quick night while driving cross country. Easy on and off I-80… older motel, family run, outside looks sketchy but the inside has been nicely maintained. Clean room, comfortable beds, microwave and fridge, close to restaurants. Seemed pricey for what it is. ($80.00). We stayed at comparable places for less.

The staff was courteous and the rooms were very clean, up to date, and comfortable beds. Worth the stay! We travel with kids, and this was kid friendly. McDonald’s across the street was convenient for breakfast.

We just needed a place to sleep and this met our need. room was clean and beds were comfortable. The host was very professional and nice.

Perfect for an overnight travel respite
This is a great place for an overnight stay. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. The refrigerator has a separate freezer compartment which is unique and so awesome. If you need ice - fill the bathroom cups with ice and freeze them overnight.

Great place!
This hotel is very clean and quiet. Perfect place when you’re traveling and just need a place to sleep. The guy at the desk was great! We will definitely stay again!

a great lodge
this was our second stay at the stuart motor lodge. we drive back and forth from the north woods to sw arizona a few times a year (with cats!). this place is a day’s drive from home and our preferred destination. clean! quiet! friendly!

It was actually a very enjoyable stay. The facilities were nice everything was clean and well maintained The only issue I have is upgraded towels The towels were very thin and very small some bigger luxurious towels would make it nice

Easy access from I80 and why pay for luxuries or extras you aren't going to use when you have a very clean, comfortable sleeping area and bathroom. It is a bit dated but it was warm, well equipped and managed. Will make this a regular stop when traveling through Iowa. Thank you!

Very clean. Very friendly staff!! Right next to truck stop but was able to park box truck just fine in hotel lot. Plenty of parking. No coffee in room but in lobby.

Terrific staff
Absolutely delightful (young man) clerk at check-in. He was also concerned and helpful, volunteering information about the bad traffic in Des Moines during rush hour because of construction.

Little motel off the highway. Fast to gas and fast food. Room was a standard little room. Had fridge, freezer and microwave. Little stains on the sheets but immediately helped solved the issue

Clean comfortable motel. Very nice desk clerk! He even printed off menus from a couple restaurants and brought them to our room after we ask where to eat.

The good: Great value for a night's sleep. Clean. Easy check in/out. Extra pillow asked for and provided. Decent sized freezer!/fridge (It was over 100 degrees outside). Able to park next to room made for easy unloading/loading. The not so good: No ice machine, thin towels, thin lumpy pillows.

Found a crowd of people partying at my open door on arrival. Garbage spread all over the building grounds. Feet/socks turned black in the room. Supplies were not provided as agreed. Pet fee not as agreed. If you’re homeless, I can see how this would be an 8/10, otherwise a fair review is 2-3/10. I don’t see how an accommodation can collect $25/pet per night and the floors, linens, everything can still be a complete mess. You can get better quality from a second hand store. Beds, pillows incredibly uncomfortable, creaky, wobbly. No black out blinds. The one window goes straight to sidewalk at front of building, noisy most of night. Unsafe feel. McD’s and a gas station for food choices.
