Welcome to Camellia Cottages. We invite you to stay as one of our first guests in this fully renovated 1920's Cottage. Experience the historic charm, attention to detail, and modern touches with updated fixtures, new appliances, shiplap interior and heart-of-pine floors. Nestled near the gardens of an 1890's home currently undergoing complete renovation, The Cottage is a short walk to downtown and area parks.

Charming cottage

The area was great in Historic Summerville. Only 30-40 minutes out of Charleston. The drive out Ashley River Road to the Plantations was super easy.

A Southern Belle

This property is exactly as pictured and is in immaculate condition. The location is perfect! A historic mature neighborhood a short and lovely 10 minute stroll to quaint shopping and restaurants at Hutchinson Square. The hospitality of the hosts is above and beyond and without hesitation, we would rebook and stay again.

Wonderful cottage!

We had a lovely stay at the cottage. It had everything we needed and more! We enjoyed the location very much and it was in a beautiful part of Summerville. Tim and Rachel were wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome. They are able to answer questions and offer recommendations for everything if you need them. Perfect stay for our needs

The property was perfect for our stay. It was nice having a washer and dryer and kitchen. The place was central to the activities that we did near Summerville. The host gave us recommendation for other activities and we did to to the Magnoila Gardens which was lovely and the Fish Camp recommendation for dinner was great! Note if you are a light sleeper there is a train that runs nightly. We will be back for our next visit to Summerville!

Perfect Getaway

The town of Summerville is a perfect getaway and the Cottage was in a great location in a quiet neighborhood. The Cottage is small, but not too small. We found it to be perfect for us. It was by far the cleanest ABNB that we have stayed in. They owners are doing a little work around the property, but that did not detract from the experience. One earlier post mentioned the train that goes through town; we did here it, but it was not a bother. Great for couples and we plan to return.

Charm Galore!

If you are planning on visiting the Summerville area of South Carolina you could not find a more charming place to stay than this incredible cottage set in a very picturesque location. The cottage is extremely well appointed throughout (the shower alone is worth staying here). The property owners Rachael and Tim are fabulous hosts and if per chance you have any interest in relocating to this area of South Carolina they can be a tremendous resource. We will unhesitatingly plan to stay here again when we make our next trip to Summerville.

Perfect Blend of Charm and Comfort

My husband and I were on a road trip to watch the women's tennis tournament in Charleston. We wanted a place to stay that represented the charm and history of South Carolina. We found it, and more! The cottage was well-appointed and the attention to every detail was very appreciated. Having a washer/dryer was so helpful for our trip. The hosts were above and beyond friendly and helpful. The location, cleanliness and all updated amenities make us want to come back next year, which we hope to do!! Highly recommend.

The space is very smartly used in the whole property. The essentials...bathroom, sleeping area, bed itself are all top notch. The porch is also a lovely spot to relax. The whole cabin is beautifully done and very cozy and charming. Easy super close parking is a big plus as well. The hosts are attentive, responsive and nice people.

April in Summerville Cottage

This adorable 350 sq ft cottage was perfectly outfitted for everything we needed for a three week work/play stay. The porch was wonderful, and once the main house renovation is complete, will be quiet and have a lovely view. The cottage is in the historic district only a few blocks walk to downtown for restaurants, shops, events and the Saturday farmers market. The hosts were kind and quick to answer questions and make recommendations.
