Here's a charmer right in the heart of Suttons Bay! Walk to everything the village has to offer. 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom. Second floor apartment with large deck that faces east. There are 15 outdoor steps to the apartment. Sleeps up to 3. Will consider weekly or short stays during any season. Summer 3 night minimum. Arrival and/or departure date must back up to existing reservations and/or begin/end on a Saturday or Sunday. Memorial and Labor Day weekends require three nights.

Queen bed in bedroom plus air mattress. Full kitchen with dishwasher. Washer/dryer. Big screen TV with cable/DVD. Right across from the beach and marina, this charming getaway will make you feel right at home. Walk next door to one of the great restaurants with outdoor dining. Head to the vintage Bay Theater for a late night movie. You won't have to drive anywhere if you stay at this great location. Enjoy the Suttons Bay Art Fair, Blues Festival and more from this location. Wineries are just minutes away.

Need more space? Rent the "Front Cottage" on the lower level. Sleeps 6. Also available is "Sweet Cherry" that can sleep up to 3 located on the back of property. Air conditioned. Some pets are considered in the off season. Linens are provided.

Wonderful location.

Clean. Spitting distance to shops, restaurants, beach and marina. Downside-upper apartment not for people who have trouble managing stairs, or climbing into a high bed.

Fall Frenzy

We booked our stay because of the Leland Fall Frenzy. Our stay in Suttons Bay was 100 times better than anything Leland had to offer. Suttons Bay was clean, sales staff at the stores were friends and welcoming, the bartenders and wait staff were folks you want to be friends with. Food was delicious.

It offers beautiful sunrises from a lovely bay view and is walking distance to everything in town. The bed was very comfy and the kitchen fairly well equipped. Music from the patio restaurant next door was a little noisy but if you want solitude, don't rent in town. Don't miss Chimoski's Bakery just down the street.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Once you get past hauling your luggage upstairs, a roomy, comfortable unit awaits. View of Suttons Bay makes the stairs worth navigating. Location is a short walk to most of the shops and restaurants in Sutton's Bay, making driving optional for exploring the town. In-unit washer/dryer allows for lighter packing if you are up for a load of laundry mid-week :-)

Suttons Bay Surprise

We were surprised at how spacious our apartment was. We were very comfortable; the bed was comfortable, loved the rockers and bathroom was spacious. We even had a view of Suttons Bay and watched an amazing sunrise one morning. The location was even better than we thought. We lived our stay. (Two things I will note for future guests; the bed is very high off the ground and you do access the apartment up the stairs from the outside.)

Ideal location if you enjoy being in the heart of Suttons Bay. You will hear music and conversations from the restaurant next door, traffic on the road and people staying below you but it all adds to the atmosphere. The cottage was clean and well stocked. We also appreciated the new patio furniture.

Great Location, Some Drawbacks

Fantastic location in the heart of Sutton’s Bay. Every restaurant is within walking distance, less one sandwich shop. Ditto the shopping, beach, marina, library, movie theater, coffee shops, book store, bakery, farmer’s market, TART (biking/walking) trail access, ice cream…Nearby, although better by vehicle (or bike), is Hansen’s - a great little grocery store, HopLot Brewing, a laundromat, and etc.! SB is a great little village with much to offer and the Legal Beagle is situated in the heart of it all. The “drawbacks”, and mostly contingent upon timing, would be neighbors. The downstairs neighbors had 3 young boys; the neighboring restaurant, North Country, featured musicians a couple of nights that ran a little late. Parking can be tight, although on-street parking is (mostly) available, as is parking behind the building. The deck furniture wasn’t overly-inviting with some lichen/moss growing on it. Also, and my own fault, was the lack of appreciating entry was by way of stairs, only, as the unit was on the second floor. Those repping the property (UpNorth Vaca Rentals) were very proactive initiating each step of the rental, check-in, and check-out process; ditto the cleaning lady, Karen, who was most kind and conscientious when we stumbled upon her.
