The Garrett Inn

"When we arrived to the Garrett Inn, we were able to check in, and were given a key to the room, and told where to park (each room's number was plainly painted on the space for each room, however, due to the configuration of the parking lot vs the way the room's were situated, the parking spaces were off-set from the individual rooms, so when parked for the room assigned, the space was two spaces offset. The room was well appointed, two full beds, a bathroom with a pocket door, a small table with two chairs. There was a microwave and room size refrigerator in the corner of the room, with coffee fixings and a coffee pot. The beds were firm but slept good. However, there was a bit of car noise from the busy highway (Rt 219), but it calmed down after about 11 pm. There was a great restaurant across the street, and also about a quarter of a mile down the road from the motel, both served great food. This motel was perfect for those who were exploring the local area and require a base to work from, this motel is perfect. It's not a chain motel, but it's quaint and fills all the basic needs of a motel."

"We had a wonderful stay! This rental truly felt like a home away from home for our family. The house was clean!!!! The bedding was comfortable, the pillows were soft, and the home had everything we needed—even the things we didn’t think to pack or didn’t feel like bringing along. It was clear that a lot of thought went into making the space comfortable and welcoming for guests.The host was very friendly and accommodating, which made our experience even better. We truly appreciated the hospitality and felt right at home throughout our stay.The only small suggestion I would make is to add some lighting in the driveway, especially for arriving or leaving after dark.Overall, we had an excellent experience and are so grateful for such a comfortable and welcoming place to stay. We would absolutely recommend this rental to other families, and we will definitely be returning! Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable!"

"Unfortunately, it rained during our entire stay. The hosts made sure the hot tub was nice and clean and we enjoyed it. We also hiked many of the local trails and waterfalls. We would stay at the cabin again. Thanks!"

"We really enjoyed our stay, only wish it could have been longer! We loved how easy it was to access the lake. Our doggies loved the little beach area. The views of the lake from the porch and extra deck were absolutely beautiful. The hot tub was the perfect ending to each evening. Would love to stay here again when the weather is warmer and can actually spend more time at the little beach. We loved having a fire each night, there was plenty of firewood available for us. Overall, no complaints "

"My family stayed here over Labor Day weekend, and we really enjoyed our time! We especially loved how close the house is to the Falls and the Stone Maze, as well as the beautiful green space and rustic feel of the property. We also really appreciated that the property is pet-friendly—there was plenty of space for our puppy to run and enjoy. The closet in the primary bedroom was a great feature as well.My significant other and son also really enjoyed having the basketball hoop available, which was a fun bonus for the family.The only recommendation I would make is to replace the toilet, or at least the toilet seat, as it could use some updating (but understand the need to keep the “rustic” concept. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed the property!"
Relaxing Deep Creek Escape w/ Hot Tub

"We had a lovely escape to the mountains. The cabin is situated in a wooded area on a ridge above the east bank of the Youghiogheny River. You can't see the river from the house in the summer but you can hear it! The cabin has several recent upgrades including new living room furniture, portable a/c - dehumidifier unit, and a real coffee pot. (Vrbo listing needs to be updated). It is quiet and peaceful but only a short drive to Deep Creek Lake and area state parks. The back deck is a great place to hang out. It was a good size for 2 people but would be cozy for more. The cabin was very clean and in great shape and the property manager was responsive to text message. Note that access to the cabin is via a short gravel road that had several potholes to navigate around. We have a low clearance vehicle and we were OK but had to be careful."
