About this property
Bayview 62 - 2 Bedroom Chalet - Bayview Oxwich
Welcome to Bayview Chalet 62, a charming two-bedroom holiday retreat nestled in the heart of the breathtaking Gower Peninsula. Beautifully positioned within the peaceful Bayview Holiday Park in Oxwich, this welcoming chalet comfortably sleeps up to four guests and offers the perfect base for couples, families or friends looking to escape to one of the most spectacular coastal destinations in the UK.
From the moment you arrive, you'll appreciate the tranquil surroundings and relaxed atmosphere that make Bayview such a popular choice. With your own private parking space and Oxwich Beach just a short stroll away, everything you need for a memorable seaside holiday is right on your doorstep. Whether you're planning long days on the beach, scenic coastal walks, water sports, or simply a peaceful break surrounded by nature, Chalet 62 provides a comfortable and convenient home from home.
Inside, the chalet has been thoughtfully equipped with everything you'll need for a relaxing stay. The bright and welcoming lounge features two comfortable sofas, making it the ideal place to unwind after a day exploring the Gower coastline. Large sliding patio doors flood the room with natural light and open directly onto the private seating area, where you can enjoy your morning coffee in the sunshine or spend warm summer evenings relaxing with a glass of wine while taking in the peaceful surroundings. Although there is no Wi-Fi at the property, many guests find this the perfect opportunity to disconnect from busy everyday life and truly enjoy the slower pace that Gower has to offer.
The well-equipped kitchen includes an oven, hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and all the cookware, crockery and utensils you'll need should you wish to prepare your own meals. A convenient dining table provides a comfortable space to enjoy breakfast before heading out for the day or a cosy evening meal after returning from the beach.
The chalet offers two comfortable bedrooms. The master bedroom features a double bed with storage space for your belongings, while the second bedroom provides two single beds, making it ideal for children, friends or additional family members. The accommodation is completed by a modern shower room, as well as electric radiator heating, providing everything required for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
We understand that holidays are even better when the whole family can come along, including your four-legged companion. One small, well-behaved dog is welcome by prior arrangement. We simply ask that dogs are kept on a lead whilst on the holiday park, are never left unattended in the chalet, that all dog waste is cleaned up immediately, and that pets are not allowed on the furniture or beds.
Oxwich is widely regarded as one of the jewels of the Gower Peninsula and has been delighting visitors for generations. Its award-winning sandy beach stretches for over two miles and offers something for everyone, from families building sandcastles to paddleboarders, kayakers and sailing enthusiasts taking to the calm waters of the bay. Backed by rolling sand dunes and ancient woodland, Oxwich Beach is perfect for leisurely walks throughout the year and is one of the safest and most picturesque beaches in South Wales. The sheltered bay makes it particularly popular with families, while nature lovers will enjoy exploring the nearby Oxwich National Nature Reserve, home to an incredible variety of wildlife, wildflowers and birdlife.
Just a short walk from the chalet you'll find the renowned Oxwich Bay Hotel, offering delicious meals, afternoon drinks and stunning views across the bay. During the holiday season, the nearby village shop provides everyday essentials alongside a popular fish and chip takeaway, making it easy to enjoy a traditional seaside supper after a day spent on the beach.
Oxwich is also perfectly positioned for discovering everything the Gower Peninsula has to offer. Designated as the UK's very first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Gower is famous for its dramatic coastline, unspoilt beaches and spectacular countryside. From the iconic Three Cliffs Bay and the breathtaking views at Rhossili Bay, regularly voted amongst the finest beaches in Britain, to the picturesque villages of Mumbles, Reynoldston and Llanmadoc, there is always somewhere new to explore.
Walking enthusiasts will find endless opportunities along the Wales Coast Path, where clifftop trails reveal spectacular sea views around every corner. Wildlife enthusiasts may spot seals, dolphins, seabirds and even wild ponies grazing across the commons, while those seeking adventure can enjoy surfing, paddleboarding, kayaking, horse riding, cycling and coasteering throughout the peninsula.
For those looking to venture slightly further afield, Swansea is just a short drive away, offering excellent shopping, restaurants, cafés, museums and attractions including Swansea Marina, the National Waterfront Museum and Singleton Park. Whether you're seeking outdoor adventure, family fun, romantic coastal walks or simply somewhere peaceful to relax and recharge, Bayview Chalet 62 provides the perfect base from which to experience everything this remarkable corner of Wales has to offer.
If you're searching for a comfortable, well-located holiday home just moments from one of Wales' most beautiful beaches, Bayview Chalet 62 is ready to welcome you for an unforgettable stay on the stunning Gower Peninsula.
