"The check-in and checkout was seamless. The location was close to everything we needed. The breakfast was delicious. They have a place to fill up water bottles in the lobby. Great stay!"

"The hotel’s location is within walking distance from the train station. We were fortunate to be able to get into our room early (1pm instead of 3). We paid for a deluxe room and it was pretty small (it had room for 1 small chair). This hotel was the costliest of all the hotels we stayed in during our trip (Zürich, Interlaken and Bellaggio Lake Como). It cost us almost $600 USD per night and breakfast was not included. The à la carte breakfast was incredibly penurious. The croissants were minuscule and not served with butter or jam. The jam cost another 1 Swiss francs. Tap water had to be paid for too. The yoghurt served was small. We heard the onsite Spanish tapas restaurant was very good so we tried it. The seafood paella was not good and a couple of the mussels smelled bad. Frankly all of the food was mediocre at best and unappetizing at worst. FYI we spent 11 days in Madrid and Galicia Spain last year so we are well acquainted with excellent tapas and Bolero fell WAY SHORT. All in all we wouldn’t stay here again."

The thoughtful details, including a Dyson hair dryer and premium amenities, made the stay even more enjoyable. Everything was spotless, and the service was outstanding. A truly perfect stay that I would highly recommend."

"Our stay at Hotel des Balances was exceptional from the moment we arrived. We traveled during the railroad strike coming from Italy, and Vanessa at reception immediately brought a sense of calm and reassurance during what could have been a very stressful arrival. Our reservation was fully prepared, check-in was seamless, and the professionalism shown by the staff throughout our stay never wavered. The room itself was spectacular. Beautifully maintained, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared with personal touches that made the experience feel welcoming and refined. The view was truly outstanding, and the double French doors opening onto the balcony added the perfect touch each morning. Waking up to that atmosphere made the stay feel even more special. The location could not have been better. Everything was within walking distance, including the train station, restaurants, shopping, and the waterfront, making it incredibly easy to enjoy Lucerne. The level of care shown by the hotel team stood out once again when we received notice the night before departure that our flight had been rescheduled. The staff handled the situation with professionalism, patience, and genuine attentiveness, allowing us additional time in the room to ease the stress of the unexpected delay. Hotel des Balances delivers an elevated experience through its exceptional service, beautiful accommodations, and prime location. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lucerne, as well as returning"

"We had a spacious two king beds in a clean, modern room, ample for four people. The location was perfect, minutes walk to the pier and train station. The staff was amazing and welcoming. Everything about this hotel was excellent and I would highly recommend it for a trip to Lucerne."
