Super comfy hotel in a convenient location

Fantastic location overlooking a golf course and the Sharks Stadium, with the convenience of 3 supermarkets and plenty of eateries all within 2 minutes walk. Nicely appointed decor, quality appliances, comfortable bedding and double glazing ensure a good night sleep. Staff are super helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.

Just ok

We’ve stayed before and been super-impressed. But this time, a few glitches. Housekeeping forgot to renew towels. Just 1 single towel in the bathroom. Sorted. Minimal amenities. Previously we had a 1 bedroom apartment. This time an executive suite… far too small. The big plus is being right next door to a shopping centre. Unless we book a 1-bedroom apartment next time, we’ll probably stay somewhere else.

Home away from home

Hands down amazing, from the first greeting at the front desk to check out, this place was amazing and what lovely staff. Hats off to Anais at the front desk for making my stay the best in all of Australia! Rooms were super clean, fresh and had anything you’d ever need. Kitchen, laundry machine and dryer all there. Bed was comfy as, with plenty of pillows to choose from. Home away from home! Next door is a shopping mall with restaurants and a soccer field, just a stone throw away from the Bay. You will not regret staying here.

The hotel made a great impression on me by reaching out proactively to give me details on how to locate the hotel and also for our arrival time. I asked for a room that was quiet as I was working from my room and they gave me a great room on the 5th floor tucked away from I loved how the lobby and common spaces smelt so fresh. We were kindly accommodated with an early check in.

Good: 1. The property was impeccably clean and managed exceptionally well. However, the advertised Deluxe Studio Apartment is very small, offering a minimal kitchenette rather than a true kitchen, and has no dedicated dining and relaxing space. 2. Front desk staff was a mixed experience: one was very good, but other, I thought, was merely pretending. Bad: 1. No on-site dining: Plan to eat out or bring food, especially if arriving late. 2. Excessive Fees and Surcharge: In addition to a $25/night parking fee, the hotel levied a 1.5% surcharge on a Visa Debit card. This fee is excessive for a 5-star hotel and, based on RBA guidance, is likely disproportionate and possibly illegal. After handing over my card, the payment was processed in a manner that prevented me from selecting the savings option to avoid the surcharge, despite my prior inquiry. Verdict: While the property itself is excellent, the sheer volume of surcharges and the small apartment size diminish the overall value. I would stay for a night or two, but for anything longer, look elsewhere, as the total costs quickly become uncompetitive and better options would be available when all costs added together.
