Clean and comfortable accomodation close to The Rocks, Circular Quay and transport. We stayed during Vivid so the area was busy until about 11pm each night but got quiet after this and is a lovely quiet area in the morning. Rooms were clean and comfy, with a few creature comfort and reasonably priced per night. Lots of stairs to walk up to get to the accommodation areas (being an older building there is no lift) so not suited if you have mobility issues. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would happily stay here again.
Great location for those taking a cruise from Circular Quay. The restaurant was also very good so you did not have to walk back into town. The staff carried our luggage to the 3rd floor for us!
The staff were very polite, helpful and pleasant. The Hotel is old and as expected things were not pristine but very clean & warm. We liked the old charm of the Hotel and the area.
The Bar & dining areas were always busy with patrons & this reflects the popularity of the Hotel.
It is situated between Circular Quay and Barangaroo which made our VIVID visit easy to walk & access events & displays.
NB: There are stairs to access the accommodation so contact the venue to ask about where your room is situated if you struggle with stairs. The staff took our heavy bags to & from our room, which was really appreciated.
easy walk to Circular Quay area, restaurants and cafes.
No lift access (historic building) so stair climb required but staff very happy to help with carrying luggage.
Super cute, located over a pub full of just happy great people, that all went home by ten. The location is perfect for walking nearly anywhere. Were the beds not rock hard it would have had 5 stars all the way.

Great location in a historic property in the Rocks.
The room was comfortable, quiet, and clean.
Bar and accommodation staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was clean, spacious, pretty. Bed was super comfortable and we had a private bathroom with a deep bath. I felt really safe and at ease at The Lord Nelson, I would definitely stay again.
