"The hotel was exceptional. We had a room that overlooked the Danube and had a great view of the parliament. The hotel is located on the Buda side along the Danube. So every evening we had a nice casual walk along the river walk. There is a tram stop right outside the hotel which provided easy transportation. Walking distance to the Fisherman’s Bastion and Buda Castle and caves."

"A beautiful property made easier to find by the adjacent Ferris wheel, so when you're out walking you have a landmark. Rooms were very modern and comfortable. One of the only places that provides a bathroom scale, which may have kept us from overindulging at their great breakfast buffet. Top drawer!"

"I loved this property. The staff was so nice. The hotel was super clean and they cleaned my room twice a day. They came back every evening to straighten up and leave me a good night chocolate. I would for sure stay at this property again. Highly recommend"

"We enjoyed our stay at the Novotel hotel. The location was great, just across the Danube from the Parliament building, and only a five minute walk to the metro station. Given how hot it became in Budapest, Novotel‘s air-conditioning worked very well. The breakfast was just OK, but we appreciated everything else about the hotel."

"I had the luxury of spending 6 nights in Budapest and was happy to have stayed on the Buda side at this hotel for a few nights for easy access to the castle, etc. Really charming hotel and lovely, helpful staff. Rooms were clean, nicely laid out, and spacious enough, The hotel was within easy walking distance of a shopping mall and the trams as well as the castle. I even walked to the Citadel from there one day (definitely worth visiting). The #16/#16A buses are right down the street, as is the #5. Between the buses and the trams and the BudapestGo app, it was ridiculously easy and convenient to get around both the Castle district and the Pest side. (I'm someone who enjoys walking and typically eschews public transport in new cities, but the recent heat made public transport essential, and I was really impressed with the reliability of the app and frequency of options.) The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because there were a few things in the room that were broken (e.g., shower spray head not working, kettle lever needing to be held down in order to boil water) that I felt should have been discovered during routine inspections. For sure had I mentioned it earlier during my stay they would have fixed it (like they did the shower head for my friend's room) but I didn't want to be bothered and it was fine."
