"We stayed in the island lodge. The lodge itself is very nice, only downpoint of the actual lodge is lack of storage space in the kitchen. My biggest complaints about this place were 1. When making the booking it NEVER mentioned that the only way to access your lodge is via a small rowing boat. I kid you not. "Nice and quiet place, property could use some proper cleaning, like the mattress were full of food, when you opened the window there was built up dirt, broken shower door, broken outside furniture, waking up at 4am because the curtains were not dark at all was not pleasant. "Even though the property is in a suburb of Amsterdam, there are so many different trams and buses available and frequent, which is so convenient. Walking into Amsterdam is only 20 minutes away. Many restaurants, pubs and grocery stores close by. Really enjoyed this property."

"While it may seem out of the way it really isn’t and you get a great deal because of that. The metro is literally across the street and the tram stop is at the end of the block and will get you to all main attractions in 15-30m. Tip: buy a GVP transit pass, add it to your phone’s wallet, and then just scan on any transport (you can even get to the airport with it). The hotel is also a beautiful 20m walk from Albert Cuyp market, which has authentic stroopwaffel, amazing food, and cute little shops. The hotel itself is really nice and clean and very hip while still being welcoming. It has a lot of options to hang out too, including later when everything is closed: the lobby cafe (good sandwiches and pastries), an upstairs bar with city views, a downstairs club, and rooftop hot tubs and sauna. Staff in all these areas were always friendly and helpful. The rooms themselves were very clean, comfortable, and had nice amenities like shampoo and shower gel, hairdryer, and lots of towels. If you want to be left alone in your unpacked chaos, they don’t clean the room until the 4th day unless requested, which I appreciated. Overall this is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in and I would definitely recommend and would stay here again for sure."

"Best hotel if you’re going to a concert in the Ziggi Dome, can’t beat the location literally next door. Online and app check in was not worth it or available but check in was efficient. Room walls and blinds a bit run down but shower was great and had a good sleep. Restaurant was slow (busy) but very good. Not sure if area is safe at night towards metro station but I’d stay again at this hotel for an event."
