"We really enjoyed our stay at the Westin Malta. The beds were very comfortable, the air conditioning was excellent and breakfast was delicious. The gym was fantastic, although it became quite busy with local members during the week. The bathrooms could do with updating, and getting a sun lounger was a bit of a rat race. We also felt an adults-only pool would improve the experience, as children jumping into the cold tubs and bombing into the main pool made it less relaxing."

"The location, pool and gym facilities are excellent. The breakfast buffet is really wonderful. Some rooms have been refurbished and are very large and spacious with an updated bathroom. We had an updated 1 bedroom suite and it was wonderful. Ask ahead. Staff were very helpful."

"I really enjoyed staying here. It was such a cute little place and the location was amazing, right in the heart of Mdina, which made everything so easy. There were great restaurants close by and it was really nice being able to walk out the door and be right in the middle of the Silent City.The place had everything I needed, and although I didn’t need much help during my stay, any questions I did have were answered very quickly by the host.I would absolutely stay here again if I came back to Mdina. It was a lovely little place in a perfect location and made staying in the city feel really special."

"I was so pleasantly surprised staying here. While everything looks exactly like in the photos there is also such a welcoming and light feel to the place that made us feel immediately relaxed and comfortable. Everywhere was immaculately clean and tastefully decorated, the pool was fun to use the view of the dome from our room was wonderful. The staff working there were very genuine, warm, helpful and chatty. The dining area feels like a well lit mini art gallery and breakfast was perfect especially the fresh croissants and orange juice. The area is a bit out of the way of where most tourists stay but we loved taking an evening walk in this beautiful quiet neighbourhood and there were so many choices of where to eat within walking distance. One thing is that ear plugs are provided but you may need heavy duty ones if you are a light sleeper due to the bells from the dome in the early hours but this wasn't an issue for me. We will absolutely be staying here on our next visit to Malta, thank you!"

"The hotel itself was amazing - the pools, rooms and grounds. Fully booked but still not too many people. Breakfast was great too. Other reviewers complained about a few marks here and there, which is silly because it’s not a new property so naturally there will be small signs of wear and tear but I actually think it adds character. So in terms of the hotel itself 9/10. Where it lets itself down is the staff. The lady who booked us in and served us breakfast was 10/10, really warm and helpful (they should give her a pay rise!). The other staff werent a bit elusive. Maybe because there’s a spa in the hotel, the spa employees seem to do their own thing and aren’t helpful but even the other staff weren't great (I wasn’t asking for anything crazy, just a towel or a bowl etc). Also it seems that day spa customers are given better service but not the actual hotel guests. No one at any point asked us if we wanted drinks (except the lady who checked us in) which is strange as we would’ve spent a lot more money in there. Luckily there is a store less than a two minute walk away that is really well stocked next to a couple of places to eat (a Turkish restaurant and a stall that makes amazing sweet and savoury pastries that were super cheap). Overall I would go back as the hotel itself is beautiful but they really need to sort their staff out. Like I said because the store is so close it wasn’t a huge issue but the whole experience could’ve been a 10/10 with better staff and service!"
