Dear Tahoe Vista Inn,
Thank you for a lovely stay last week. The views of the lake from our living area and adjoining bedroom were the best part of our vacation. The main downside of the rental is the full bathroom. Although a sign is posted by the bathtub/shower as to safety precautions, it was not enjoyable, and we hardly used it due to it being extremely dangerous. Our first day in Tahoe, our adult daughter developed second degree burns that kept her bedridden the entire week. She was in desperate need of being able to clean her legs to keep from infection. As you may be able to imagine, this was absolutely miserable for her. My husband and I are both athletic, and this was still a scary ordeal for us. Please post pictures on your site of the bathroom. We fear one of your future guests will have an accident and completely ruin their time in Lake Tahoe. Had we known the set up with the bathtub/shower, this would not have been a rental we would have chosen.
The wallpaper in the main water closet is not looking extremely happy anymore, either, and could use some attention. The rental is tastefully decorated and definitely felt homey. Thank you.
Not due to any fault of yours, we had difficulty sleeping on both Wednesday and Thursday nights because of the road resurfacing. Our daughter's bedroom was only 15 feet away from the road action, making two nights of our stay even that much more unenjoyable. When we originally placed the reservation, we did ask whether there would be any construction on or close to the property. We were told that there would not be. We imagine the city's work schedule may not have been known to you at that time; however, we believe it may have been known when we called a few weeks prior to our stay and asked the same question, receiving the same answer.
Again, we were thankful for our stay with you. The lake views, the air conditioning, and the couch were the best part of our week. As far as whether we would book Tahoe Vista Inn #6 a second time, we may....only if the bathroom situation was updated in the safety category.
