I had a great stay in Munkenhof. The room was very clean and cozy, looks like it was freshly renovated. Check in was very fast and convenient, staff was super helpful. I liked the keyless system, they give you a code foe the doors and that's all you need. There was a kitchen which i didn't use but it looked really nice.

This is a very nice guesthouse. I had a Twin room which was very clean, seems it has been lately renovated. Location is superb, you are in the middle of Old Town. I didn't use it but there is a kitchen with everything you need. I would definitely recommend this place!

We booked a room for 4. At the check-in we found out there was a room for 2. Small room, no space to put extra beds (if they had any). And no more rooms available. Had to move to another place. Spent app 1 hour of short visit to Tallinn.

Good location, large comfortable rooms with clean towels and blankets. Beds are not the best but room is okay. There is unpleasant food smell when you enter to the building, kitchen must be ventilated. Bathrooms are not clean, need more attention.

Do Not Stay!
This hotel is a bait and switch. The photos look nothing like the rooms. The proprietor was unkind and charged me two nights when I refused to stay, in spite of the cancellation policy.

The location was relatively good in a pretty street in the old town. However the hostel was dirty (thick dust and hair on ledges and floor, mouldy showers) and tatty (holes in bedding and mattress, generally knocked about).

Great location. Good value. Keep in mind this is a hostel, so no frills. Also - there is no elevator and you will have to carry your luggage up the stairs. Otherwise, it is well run and comfortable. There is a common kitchen if you want to cook. I highly recommend Reval Cafe which is a sort walk and has delicious food,. Or as expensiveas other restaurants in the old town.

Not great
The overnight staff could not be less helpful. Also the walls are thin and sheets dirty so don't expect a decent sleep. Location is good but you have to find it first and that's hard at night (poor signage)

We arrived in the middle of the night and they were able to check us in. During this process an old man (the owner) walked around the lobby in just his underwear. The shower was moldy and the whole room was damp. The beds were under slanted walls so we kept hitting our heads when we sat up.

Weekend stay
Room didn't have own shower. Common one seemed to be always occupied and showerhead was broken. Anyway we weren't looking for luxury hotel so any of this didn't really bother. Price/quality/distance is good.

Great place to stay for the price perfect location
It's in a great location. Old town is small so everything is accessible. The people at the front desk were very helpful and nice. Wifi wasn't the best in my room but was fine in the common room. The rooms were simple, and fine for a budget traveller who wants a place to stay that's clean

Be Careful! Information not clear about bathroom.
When we checked the place in Hotel.com, it mentioned some rooms don't have bathrooms. So, we choose one that didn't mention about bathroom and assume it has. However, the room they assigned don't have bathroom and they told us all rooms are full. They should make it clearer which rooms have bathrooms.

It's recommended!
It's in the old urban area and has a very good location. The rental cycle is also 2 minutes on foot. It's 15 minutes to the supermarket. The cost performance ratio is best. I'd like to use it.

Central location but shared bathroom
The room was clean but the shared bathroom and shower were very inconvenient. The paid parking recommended by the hostel staff for 5 Euros was not the cheapest in the neighborhood. We found one for 2 Euros on the other side of the Old Town.

Affordable hostel at the center of the Old Town
We are lucky to have a room with toilet and shower. The bed is not that comfortable though but the hostel is clean. The kitchen and common area are spacious and there is free web available in every room. I highly recommend it.

Very pleasant stay in oldtown
I was little biased about the hostel, because it is located in the old town of Tallinn. But I was proven wrong, the hostel is located in a very quiet side street with no traffic and almost no people moving around. There is no noisy nightlife in the same street. I would suggest this hostel to everyone.

The hotel is well located in the center and in a quiet street. The staff is friendly, available and well informed. There is a large kitchen, very clean and well furnished, common areas with free access to internet, television, video games for those who are bored, but you won't be in Tallinn :) A good option in the heart of the old town.
