"I loved my stay!This was the first place that had a kitchen with plenty of appliances, utensils, and seasoning. There were plenty of towels and extra utility items that we needed for every bathroom. The bedrooms had adequate pillows and blankets. They had items for lighting camp fires, a grill, and a wonderful hot tub!The host was extremely communicative and very helpful. If we ever came back to this area, we would love to be here again!"

"My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The staff went out of their way to ensure a great experience. The room was cleaned everyday, and attention to detail was evident. The breakfast is incredible, and we dined here twice during our stay. The menu is current with classics. The food was well prepared and this venue has the customer in mind. Everything here is well executed, and apparent. Kuddos for an incredible stay. We look forward to staying here again. The staff and management work well together, but the day to day workers make this an enjoyable stay."

"Very clean and spacious accommodations. The kitchen had absolutely everything we needed. Hot tub was a nice amenity. Outdoor grill was clean and easy to use. Large outdoor deck/patio space as well expansive grounds with beautiful frontage on the river. Grandkids enjoyed swimming in the river. Close to restaurants, grocery stores, and shopping. Very easy drive to our planned whitewater rafting and zip lining activities."

"Everything was excellent in this property. Just one suggestion that if you could add some gaming equipment in the basement room, it would have been great for the kids. Like pool table or something like that"

"This is a wonderful little spot on a working farm. We enjoyed watching the cows in the field from the large screened porch. It was a nice change of pace and a great little getaway. The family enjoyed it and I do hope we can do it again!"

"I was in the area for a family gathering in The Orchard Golf & County Club community. The Gatehouse is located about 1 mile from The Orchard's entrance gate so the location was perfect.When I booked the rental back in early March of 2026, the listing indicated that the rental did not have A/C. I debated for a while before booking but due to the location I decided to go ahead. Turns out that the listing was incorrect. The rental was airconditioned. This rental HAS fully modern A/C and and heating. The rental was very clean and comfortable and equipped with everything you need for your visit. Based on the guest book, the Gatehouse has been a rental for 3 years. It looks like it was built within the last year. Highly recommend this rental and will likely stay here again in for future family gatherings."

"Fantastic place to get away from it all. Close to town of Clayton for food and drinks. Can walk to panther creek falls hiking trail for a beautiful hike. Cabin was perfect and everything they said it was."
