"This was a great property, easy to find and close to M-55 in Houghton Lake. We had a great shopping experience nearby at Thrift stores and local gift shops. We found MI Centanario for Mexican was awesome and Little Boots for breakfast was great too. It's an easy drive to South Higgins Lake State Park which is where we were visiting friends for the weekend. The beds were comfortable and functioning large fans helped circulate the cool air from only one small air conditioner. Happy the temps were not in the 90s. Myself and friend both use CPAP for sleeping and had to shuffle things around for placement of machines next to the beds, so adding smaller tables next to the beds would be a great addition. We also would love to see nice wall mirrors added to each bedroom. There's only one small bathroom and for a place that sleeps 6 and we only had 2, we missed having more places to get ready. Overall, it was a good place and worked for us over a 3 night stay."

"It’s a good nights sleep. The staff is excellent. The only problem we had was we lost power at 9:30 at night and their backup generator didn’t work. Which means there there fire protection is on battery backup for only a short time. That should be fixed. That’s a matter of safety. Thank goodness the power was restored in a couple of hours. The power loss was not the hotel’s problem it was the utility provider’s problem"

"My husband and I took our dog Henry here for 3 glorious nights. The cottage has everything you need, the beach and water were amazing. We loved seeing the Loons every day too. We had a very relaxing time! Would definitely like to come back! Thank you."

"This is such a cute place! Very modern, clean, and fresh. The bed was very comfortable. Everything you need for a few days is there. Would definitely go again. We parked as advised in the directions, though there was a parking sign in a different spot!Great way to spend our anniversary. We rented kayaks, and swam at the public beach, both not too far away. You won’t regret staying here."
