"Waitstaff at restaurant and beach bar were amazing! Very attentive, friendly conversations, missed nothing in terms of service, remembered names and room numbers after first meet. Housekeeping was okay but left the same dirty cups in my room for 4 days. Front desk at check in was good and informative; check out was rude. Nice that the hotel helped with some excursion and shuttle planning. Great private beach access and saw howler monkeys on the path down (twice)! Pool was lovely. Included dinner was amazing - 3 courses each night with a great variety. Good time overall. "

"Good ac. Lots of ants in room and bathroom. Uncomfortable beds and pillows. Owner and his wife very nice and helpful. Dirt Road to town is hilly and full of pothole. Some Ubers won’t go up to the hotel. "

"Perfect location. Right on the beach. Restaurant is ok. Staff is amazing! Loud at night - music. A little dated. Massage was good. Typical beach boutique hotel. No thrills. Parking if you need it. Would I stay again, yes."

"Everything at Capitan Suizo was amazing. Perfect location on the beach. Stayed in bungalow with beautiful garden views. Beds very comfortable. Outdoor shower took a little getting used to but after a couple of days my girls and I enjoyed listening to the sounds of Howler monkeys and birds while showering. Breakfast was delicious and we ate outside watching the ocean every morning. We would lay out in the lounge chairs under a little shade steps away from the ocean and from the restaurant/bar. When we weren’t on the beach we swam in the pool which was super clean. Had a full body massage one day at the spa which was incredible. Went back to spa on another day for a collagen facial. All the staff were so gracious and welcoming. They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. If you are coming to Tamarindo, you will thank yourself for staying here!"
