The apartment is affordable and close to the airport. However, the host decided to double book the apartment, so at 1:15am our apartment code was typed into the door and random people entered as I was sleeping and my friend was showering. Super unacceptable considering our belongings, travel documents, and most importantly ourselves were now at risk of danger. The host, Maria, apologized and said they “took action so that this won’t happen again in the future” but did not come change our door code or offer any sort of solution to us. The remainder of our stay, we didn’t feel comfortable leaving our belongings there alone nor did we feel comfortable to sleep knowing that random people still had access to our apartment. We then had to go through all of our belongings to ensure that nobody entered our space or stole anything while we were away at an event all day and night prior to this occurring. This review would not have been bad if the host simply answered my phone calls as well as took action to change our door passcode, but instead Maria decided to stop responding to me after apologizing and saying she took action to prevent this in the future. Mistakes happen and this could have been resolved easily, but instead there was no effort to fix this and our safety was completely disregarded by the host. Last but not least, a baby roach was lingering around the first night and crawled into the ceiling mounted light above the bed. BE AWARE!!
