"Our overall stay at Days Inn was okay, but the experience ended very poorly. When we first arrived, the bed sheets were dirty and we had to request they be changed immediately. That issue was resolved, so we moved on and tried to enjoy the weekend. The major issue happened on checkout day. We checked in Friday and were scheduled to check out Sunday before 11:00 AM. That morning, we left briefly to attend my son’s basketball game and returned around 10:20 AM, well before checkout time. When we got back, housekeeping had already entered and cleaned out our room. Most of our belongings had been packed already, but smaller personal items were thrown away, including toiletries, snacks, drinks, and some of my son’s toys. What upset me most was that staff entered the room before checkout time, without permission, and despite us leaving the Do Not Disturb sign on the door. When I spoke with the manager, she apologized, but nothing else was offered. Instead, I felt dismissed. I was told the cleaning couple was “trustworthy,” and was even asked if I was upset because my son lost his game. No, I was upset because our privacy was violated and our room was entered before we had officially checked out. Assuming guests have left simply because their car is gone is unacceptable."

"The room was clean and comfortable. There was a comfy chair, a desk area with chair and an extra blanket. The staff were all very helpful. Breakfast was not continental, but a full hot breakfast with sausage, eggs, tater tots and waffles. There was a lovely stone bar, and a decent dinner menu. The pool was popular. Many comfortable places to sit downstairs. Good parking."

"Only two complaints; air conditioning in our corridor was much too cold, and the bathroom had too few hooks. Otherwise… Friendly, helpful staff. Good location. Humorous furniture and room keys. NBA semifinals easily found on TV. Lovely hot water temperature. Comfortable bed. Easy to use thermostat. We were on a high floor, and the street noise was minimal. Valet parking was worth the price. Free oranges and apples at front desk. WiFi worked properly; why no password? I’ve been seeing this at other establishments too. Has this become a safe way to operate? The establishments should blurb you as to why this is probably safe nowadays."

"My room appeared clean, but there was an awful smell that I couldn't get out even by opening the window. It smelled like raw sewage and was just disgusting. It was late and I was too exhausted to ask to change rooms, so I can't comment on whether it would have been the same in another room."
