"The room was very nice lots of room only thing was I saw the tub in the pictures but when we arrived there was no tub in this room, so will make sure I request a tub for next time didn’t realise you had to request as have been before and just got a tub. But it’s still a great place to stay. Highly recommend with great amenities just a few steps from the rooms."

"Lovely room on the lake with an outside table which was perfect place to sit and watch the world go by. The bathroom is now quite dated, but spacious and functioned well. Very comfortable bed. Staff were not very welcoming at reception. We arrived at 1.30 and told room would not be ready until 3. They did not check to see if it was ready or offer to keep our luggage, but suggested we go to the bar and have a drink and wait. When we arrived back 3 hours later with all our luggage to check in we were told we had to go back into the car park and walk to the end of the building and enter by another door. There was an internal corridor that would have been much easier to roll our luggage on but that was not suggested to us. Dinner in the restaurant was pleasant. I requested a second glass of wine which did not appear so I asked another staff member to check where it was. Both of them added the glass of wine to the bill, so that had to be resolved when the bill was presented for signing. Great location, service and presentation could both be improved."

"The room was clean, had everything we needed , beds were comfy very comfy , had all the amenities including air con and running hot water which catered to me and my family of 4. Very quiet and you even get views of Lake Taupo from the room . For the price we paid we got more than we bargained for 👏. Props to the house keepers whom work hard day in day out to get these rooms looking the way they do for guests. Only downside is when you’re going to the pools be mindful it’s A steep walk down and then back up once you are done swimming . That’s the biggest downfall with De Bretts , and run down."
