  • This was taken at the Kea Point lookout at Mt Cook National Park. It was an easy trek and the view was phenomenal. We got there just as the sun was about to go behind the mountains so I was glad that I could capture what was left of the light on those snow-capped peaks. The giant mountain there is Mt Wakefield and just to the left of it is Mt Cook, nearly fully covered by those stubborn clouds. The Muller Glacier down the bottom definitely gave the image a good colour contrast as well.

  • If you can afford it, I recommend splurging on a helicopter flight or fixed wing plane ride to Milford from Queenstown or Wanaka. The views of Fiordland from above are unbeatable.

I dislike being critical but the beds are very bad, musty smells and excessive floor squeaks on the upper level made the stay uncomfortable. The house could be very nice but needs deep cleaning.
