2024 stay in golf del sur
The process of check in was very smooth and they accommodated for us to checkin early which was great. The apartment was very tired and needs some TLC the bathrooms were very grubby. My opinion the apartment needs a deep clean and a makeover.

The apartment is spacious but very dated with patched walls, ripped furniture peeling paint and a leaking toilet with a smell of urine. The beds were extremely uncomfortable with springs sticking through the mattress meaning the deckchair mats were used to try and provide extra padding. The kitchen was not fit for human habitation, it was disgusting. There were dried on mouldy food to dinnerware, pans, cups and cutlery, 2 teaspoons were actually welded together with mould. The fridge and microwave were filthy. There were vermin droppings under the sink and the cupboards inside were very dirty. We arrived at 9.30 pm and I had to go straight to Coviran which was open until 11 pm for cleaning products to make food, there was nothing open in the vicinity to buy food. It took me until 12.30 am before we could eat and I was up at 8 am the next day to scrub, boil wash and disinfect everything to enable us to use it for our holiday, which was even more imperative as we had a 4 month baby with us. This wasted a day of my holiday. I have never had to clean an apartment to this extent before using it and it should not be allowed to be rented out in the state, we paid nearly £2500 for 10 nights, so not cheap. We were promised use of the pool but there was no fob available and the person who had them was uncontactable by management. Some days residents opened the gate but on others, we received abuse for not having a fob, it was embarrassing. Similar reviews since 2017, but no change.

Spacious apt great location we played bowls so we were only 2 mins from bowling green ideal for shops, pubs, buses and great selection of restaurants and coastal walks and near airport large pool with plenty sunbeds would go back anytime

Less than impressed
The apartment met our expectations as in location close to all amenities and travel to other areas with lovely sunny aspect and large balcony. There were too many issues needing addressed the main one in my opinion being the neglect of the Caretaker whose cleaners made up beds with filthy mattress protectors on top of already disgusting mattresses. We were shocked. I washed them myself which caused a major power cut as the machine was faulty. Another machine was ordered which took ten days to come. In general the apartment needs new furniture and a new shower in guest bathroom. Floods every time used. I understand from the owner that she is unaware of these points and assures me she will be going in person to see for herself. I’m sure that if she does the apartment will reward her in the future.

Excellent location
Collette the owner of the property responds to any questions or requests almost immediately so the whole process was simple. The location of the apartment couldn't be better, its on the ground floor and overlooks the pool and part of the bowling green. The apartment had everything you could need, but to be honest in all the years I have been going to Golf Del Sur it is so cheap to eat out and there are plenty of options both in Golf and neighbouring San Blas that there isn't any point in cooking. Previous reviews have mentioned the towels being thin but we didn't find it a problem. All in all we found the property spacious and comfortable and we will be returning there very soon.

Lovely situation but apartment poorly equipped & needs updating
The positives - the apartment is situated in a great area for access to shops and restaurants. The pool area is lovely and kept very clean. The negatives - the apartment is not adequately furnished/equipped - it is advertised to accommodate 8 - it may have beds for 8 but that’s about it! Although it doesn’t make any reference (or it didn’t when we went but I have since raised this so it might now have been amended) the only table provided for sitting and eating at - even though this is a self catering property - is a plastic table on the balcony which comfortably seats 4 - and 5 at a push! Not great if the weather is not nice - or if - as in our case - there are 7 of you! Also there were only 6 chairs on the balcony so even if the table had seated 7 only 5 of us could sit at any one time! Other disappointments were, as previously mentioned by someone else, only one set on keys provided - we were two families so really difficult as you require key to access pool area too (we subsequently requested another set and these were provided but no idea why not given initially!), shower leaked in second bathroom, bedroom door jammed and had to get locksmith out to let us out of the room after being stuck in for 5+ hours from 5am (despite this issue with the door apparently already being a known issue with one of the management team it hadn't been addressed!) - it was not a pleasant experience on our first night!, bath towels old & threadbare, mattresses very uncomfy, one tea towel provided for 7 of us in a weeks stay (requested and got more), not sufficient cutlery (5 forks!), crockery (eg 4 mugs of varying sizes and designs again for 7 of us!), glasses, etc. Could have been lovely but let down hugely for us by these things - made the owner aware of these on our return and response was far from satisfactory although hopefully issues have now been addressed to make someone else’s stay more enjoyable!

the towels were very flimsy and we had to go and buy 4 bath towels. only having 1 set of keys was a problem as we had work out were to leave the keys when went to different locations. two sets of keys would have been helpful. Also the lock on the apartment door was well worn and it took some time to get the key to engage. The beds were a bit lumpy. We only used the rooms for sleeping we ate out every day for b/fast and dinner but the kitchen did seem very well equipped.

The resort is a nice resort, we was very disappointed in the property.
Unfortunately the property was not up to the standard that we expected for the value that we paid for the property. It was very worn and needed updating and decorating - we was advised to take our beach towels as bath towels where provided - the towels provided where old thin and discoloured. The property wasn't very clean on arrival and smelt. The property has no air con so we had to hire a air con unit. I had to buy glasses, utensils and tea towels as the owner / management agent hadn't supplied them for a self catering unit. I have a number of photos that I will supply to HomeAway.com in support of my review.

Nice spring break
The apartment is very spacious and has everything you need. The lounge and bedrooms are a very generous size with plenty of storage. Although the kitchen is also large, there is very little work space. The fridge was not cold enough. Nice view from the large sunny balcony. The bar/bistro on site is excellent and reasonably priced. I would use this apartment again.

Great holiday apartment!
I have stayed in this apartment several times, with different people and intend to return as soon as possible. Only 10 minutes from the airport so no long or expensive transfers. Very quiet location, but with several mini markets within 5 mins walk, and a selection of good restaurants within 100 metres of the complex. Rendezvous Restaurant on-site is an award winning restaurant, well worth a visit, with superb food at a reasonable price. I have stayed in this roomy 3 bed apartment, at different times, with people of 84 years of age to babies of 9 months so the complex really does suit all ages! For those looking a more exciting nightlife Playa de Las Americas is only a short taxi ride away, the town of San Blas is only a short walk away (or 3 or 4 minutes in a taxi), while for those just wanting to while away the evening enjoying a good meal and a bottle of wine, watching the sun set over the sea, the seafront restaurants are only a couple of hundred yards away. Ideally located with everything close at hand, including taxi ranks and bus stops, and well fitted out with everything needed, i can definitely recommend this apartment - I am already looking for flights for my next getaway!

We enjoyed our stay here. Clean, spacious apartment with all the necessary facilities. Nice view out over the pool area. Owner communication was always really good right from the initial enquiry through to arrival there and we would not hesitate to recommend to others.

Booked this apartment situated in winter gardens it is a fabulous apartment lovely and sunny all day. Has a lovely big balcony looks over pool and part of Boweling green. Has everything you need for your holiday. Would have no hesitation booking it again when I go back. I have been golf del s ur on a number of occasions and have to say this apartment is one of the cleanest and well equipped I have ever stayed in .

Tolles Apartment - aber etwas renovierungsbedürftig
Alles in allem ein tolles Apartment. Die Betten sind allerdings komplett durchgelegen und sollten erneuert werden. Die Anlage selbst ist toll und in einer sehr guten, zentralen Lage. Wir waren alles in allem sehr zufrieden.
