We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The breakfasts were outstanding - plentiful and delicious. Our room and the communal hallways and terraces were beautiful. We had so much space - a bedroom with gorgeous sea views, a dining and seating area with a fridge and a private terrace with plunge pool (you can't actually swim in it) with sea and mountain views. It was blissful. The first night arriving in the dark we did worry that it seemed completely isolated after our satnav took us the wrong way (use the full address, not the postcode) but you can actually walk into Guimar where there a few bars and more than initially meets the eye but it is a quiet town. But you can walk up into the mountains or go to the beach and restaurants at El Puertito and see so many landscapes in a tiny distance there is plenty to do. Or just sunbathe on the terrace :)

Off the beaten track retreat
Had a lovely nights stay here. Was a great price and dinner and breakfast were also very reasonable. Lovely outside area looking into the mountain. More of a traditional property with older features but if you don’t want the modern new build, this could well be for you

Rural Guimar Hotel
Really nice rural hotel with very helpful staff. The room was clean well maintained and comfortable with some old world charm. The hotel is a bit hard to find but worth the effort.

Perfect place to stay away from hustle and bustle
Fantastic stay at this hotel. Perfect place to stay if you have a car as it's in the middle of the island. Nice and quiet. Hotel owner is a lovely man, very helpful whatever you want. Great breakfast consisting of a variety of fruits, yoghurts, breads all fresh daily, bread for toasting, jams, cereals, dried fruits, meats and cheeses, croissants, sweet biscuits, orange juice, every kind of tea you can imagine, coffee and scrambled eggs made to order. Delicious.

Lovely rural, historic hotel
Very rural and quiet, but five mins in car to Guimar. Hannibal was great to deal with, he genuinely wanted us to have a great stay. Excellent breakfast. Lots of character.

This small rural Hotel is a beautiful historic house in a beautiful setting. The location was perfect for us as we enjoy the countryside but it was also very close to the town which had all the necessary shops and some places to eat. Going out for a walk each morning as the sun rose was challenging but very rewarding. We really appreciated the fact that there was no TV. Only the sounds of nature to wake up to. Our host was very friendly and gave us a warm welcome on arrival and was most hospitable throughout our stay.

Worth the effort of getting there
Very historic bulding, well equipped and an excellent restaurant. Superb Breakfast on the balcony with a lovely view. Top floor suite would benefit from rugs as the floorboards creaked! Accessed via a difficult hill up a narrow lane but very nice view in all directions. Will go again!

En general estuvimos bien, aunque con algunos detalles a tener en cuenta. Está algo alejado del nucleo del pueblo, por lo que para descansar es ideal, no se escucha ningún ruido, salvo algún gallo dando los buenos días😅 y se tarda muy poquito en llegar al centro en coche. Las camas eran cómodas y el aire acondicionado nos vino genial. La habitación era bastante grande, con terraza y tenía una neverita para poder poner lo que quieras, hervidor de agua, cafetera de cápsulas y sobres con infusiones. Las vistas son espectaculares, lástima del estanque que hay delante del restaurante que no lo tienen limpio. No tuvimos tiempo de disfrutar de la zona chillout y de la piscina desmontable. El acceso por carretera está bien señalizado con carteles, cosa que se agradece, pero por una carretera complicada muy estrecha, hay que ir con mucho cuidado. Cuando llegas no hay ninguna indicación de dónde se encuentra la recepción, es bastante incómodo ir con el equipaje sin saber donde ir. La habitación era para tres, pero se les pasó el detalle de poner jabón y vasos para los tres. Una estancia agradable y que si se diera el caso volveríamos a repetir.

Super agréable séjour !
Séjour très agréable, la chambre très propre est grande, tout à fait conforme à la description avec une petite terrasse à l arrière et vue sur la mer au loin à l avant. Le jardin et l extérieur est très bien entretenu, le propriétaire est toujours en activité avec un pinceau à la main. Le petit déjeuner est très copieux, pris au restaurant avec une petite fontaine et ses carpes colorées. J ai adoré le jardin avec tous ses détails et la touche deco qui fait toute la différence ! Bref je reviendrai en famille !!

Charming hotel with amazing breakfast
Charming hotel with very nice and service minded staff. Be mindful that there are a lot of stares, both to get into the hotel from the parking lot and within the hotel. The breakfast was amazing!

Amazing and calm rural hotel
We had the pleasure to spend one week in Anibal's hotel which was just awesome to discove the island waking up in this hotel every morning. Its located near the mountains in a calm and quite environment, pure canarian island feeling. For those who still seek to be close to touristic area, highway is 5 minutes and from there just 30 minutes. Beach, hiking routes, everything close. The hotel itself is just lovely. Original style, clean, quite, sky full of stars in the night and ocean and sunrise in the morning. Abundant food for breakfast which was very delicious. And Anibal is the perfect host. Not only kind and helpful, but also super organized, who seeks to provide a perfect stay. He has advices for restaurants, beaches and any location you want to see around the island. We definitely recommend this hotel and hope to return one day.

Karakteristiek hotel met moeizame toegang.
Leuk karakteristiek hotel. Zonder navigatie heel moeilijk te vinden. Toegang alleen via heel nauwe straatjes met krappe bochten. Komend vanaf Calle Iglesias links afslaan bij bordje "Hotel Rural" (La raya wordt niet genoemd). Na de brug te zijn gepasseerd is er een afslag vna 270 graden naar rechts met wegwijzer naar "La Raya". Daar eerst doorrijden tot een pleintje om te draaien (de bocht is anders niet te nemen)

Wifi ainoastaan yleisissä tiloissa, ainakaan kaikissa huoneissa ei tv:tä, siistit tilavat ja ihan tyylikkäät huoneet. Ilmainen parkkipaikka. Aitokanarialainen tunnelma. Ajoreitti hotelliin todella kapeiden katujen ja sokkeloisen reitin päässä, voi olla aluksi vaikea löytää ilman navigaattoria. Ei sovi liikuntarajoitteisille.

Un accueil très sympathique. Hôtel agréable, chambre confortable et bien agencée avec un bon niveau de confort. Tranquillité assurée. Petit déjeuner avec un bon choix et des produits frais. Situation sur les hauteurs avec un beau point de vue. Un chemin d'accès un peu difficile lorsque l'on arrive pour la première fois : un virage en épingle à droite très serré dans une côte abrupte. Il ne faut pas chercher à tourner immédiatement mais continuer son chemin pour faire demi tour quelques 100 m plus loin sur une placette et pouvoir prendre la route facilement mais cela n'est pas indiqué !
