We are writing to complain about our recent all-inclusive stay at Hotel Villa De Adeje Beach, Tenerife. While the hotel was in a good location and the rooms clean, our overall experience was negative due to the sub-standard comfort of the hotel and the lack of assistance to find a resolution.
We have never experienced beds this uncomfortable in a 3 star hotel. We received a bed topper to assist but that didn’t help at all. The pillows were lumpy and, as they were without liners, they were stained and smelt of stale sweat. Regardless of the time of day that you chose to dine, all food was at best tepid. They even had a microwave there so clearly we weren’t the first to pick up on their lack of proper buffet dining equipment (hint, it’s not a microwave).
There was also the health-hazard of the hotel generator. We were informed it was used to heat the water (clearly not the food, though) but it was perilous in its spewing of constant fumes, leaving us with sore, red eyes and sporadic cough. We didn’t even bother trying to speak to the hotel manager on this as anot
