Wonderful Getaway

The perfect place to have a getaway. The home was clean, well stocked, and included lovely touches that made it feel like a home away from home. The views and the area were everything we hoped for, and our hosts were quick to respond and very kind. We would definitely stay there again.

Welcoming experience

Our hosts were wonderful! They were easy to communicate with and had made the whole process as smooth as possible. Everything from the cleanliness to the hospitality was top notch. We will defenitly recomend staying here if you want to explore a different side of Oregon.

So Lovely!

We stayed here while our soon was playing football in Dufur. It was so pleasant, clean, and quiet. Hosts were very accommodating. Would definitely stay again.

Fabulous location off the beaten path

We enjoyed a long weekend here and highly recommend it. The property was clean, well-stocked, and the remote location was peaceful. The communication with Shay and Lisa was excellent, and we felt they genuinely cared that we had a good experience. We will definitely stay here again.

Amazing stay

Lisa and Shay were amazing! The house was beautiful and we had a lot of space, along with incredible views. On top of it all they went above and beyond any expectations as we ran into a very difficult situation and storm at the tail end of our stay. I highly recommend this home and host to anyone. AMAZING!!

I can't say enough good things about this property and it's hosts! Not only was the property exactly as described in the listing, it was better! Both the indoor and outdoor space was immaculately clean, completely comfortable, and I would 10/10 recommend it to anyone visiting the area! This was a magical place, a very peaceful place. The hosts are very accommodating and kind. The apartment is spacious, incredibly clean, very well appointed with amazing attention to detail by way of decor and the little things that many hosts don't think about. Very personable hosts. Peaceful Beauty

Delightful two nights in this immaculate house. surrounded by rolling hills and quiet. Lisa and Shay are wonderful hosts and shared eggs, garden veggies, and kind connections with us. This is jewel of a getaway home. We will come back in different seasons to ride our bikes. Also, the nearby town of Dufur has the Azure grocery store with organic food and great coffee.

The Best Ever!

Shay and Lisa are some best of the "bend-over-backwards" to make you happy type of people. They aim to make your stay as comfortable as possible! I'll book it again and again.

The most amazing VRBO

Shay and Lisa were such wonderful hosts. From the moment we got there, the suite felt more like home than a Vrbo. We were welcomed with a card, bottle of wine, treats, and a bowl of fresh cherries. The hosts created a booklet that contained information about the suite and the nearby towns that was so helpful. The place itself was beautiful for such a reasonable price. If you’re thinking about this Vrbo, do it, don’t wait! We stayed many places during our honeymoon and this was by far the best. Thank you!!

Five stars just doesn't do justice to this property. Excellent in every way. You can't go wrong staying here. Shay's communications were first rate. Lisa is the other half that makes this property a complete dream. Three days and two nights of the best accommodations I have had in twenty five years of staying in vacation rentals all over the world.

Exceeded Expectations!

Frankly, this had to be one of the best VRBOs we have stayed in. My wife and I were visiting my brother in The Dalles as part of a family reunion. His house was too full and the local Fairfield Inn (we are Marriott Bonvoy members) was very expensive. So we found this property just 15 minutes away up in the hills. The online photos and reviews were very good, but … wow… the property was incredible. The one bedroom apartment was extremely clean, well appointed with everything we could need. The hosts even had a bottle of local wine and fresh cherries waiting for us. This will be our go to place on future visits!

Off the Beaten Path Gem

Shay and Lisa's property is an oasis. The home, yard, gardens and setting are just beautiful . My son in law and I stayed two nights while he had shows in nearby Hood River and Tygh Valley...It is tucked away, though just a scenic 8 to 10 miles to The Dalles downtown area. The rental itself is beautifully done, clean, well equipped and so comfortable...we did not want to leave. I was so glad to have met Shay and Lisa on our last day, had some good laughs and conversation, they are cool, kind and generous and we look forward to hanging out with them again! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Thank you both...

Complete recharge and relaxation. From the moment we arrived at this hidden oasis nestled in between the golden, rolling hills with a perfect view of Mount Hood, we knew it was going to be extra difficult to pack up and leave after our stay. Were greeted by a handful of easy going chickens in the fenced garden area. Then stepped into our VRBO apartment , that is actually more like a beautifully built, furnished, small house with gorgeous views of the hills and mountain. Lisa and Shay had thoughtful touches everywhere to include a bowl of local cherries, snacks, chocolates, and even gifted us a bottle of wine. Before our arrival, Shay was super quick to respond to any questions I had. And even at the last minute, setup an iron and iron board for us to use so we could prep for a wedding we were attending. Perfect driving distance for us to surrounding areas to include Hood River. Both beds, all pillows and linens were super comfy, and we loved having access to a grill to cook out. Couldn’t help but spend every morning outside to enjoy our coffee. Thank you Lisa and Shay! Can’t wait for a return trip hopefully soon!

Better than we could've imagined!

My wife and I stayed at Shay and Lisa's place for a weekend in July. The property was absolutely beautiful. It is very secluded from other properties which made the home peaceful and the scenery was beautiful. They communicated very well ahead of time, and even provided us with recommendations for our trip. We briefly mentioned that we were celebrating our anniversary, and we were welcomed with a special note, chocolates, fruit, and a bottle of our favorite wine. The property was clean, and had a fantastic layout. The space was more than enough room for us, fully stocked with everything we needed/wanted, and the hospitality was the best we've ever experienced in our 20+ experiences with short term rentals. By the way, the space is even better than the pictures show! I highly recommend staying at this property. If we plan to travel anywhere 100 miles from this property, we will plan our trip around availability of their home because we would absolutely stay again in the future. Thank you for a great weekend - you made it so easy to enjoy and everything was thorough and seamless.
