"Ocean Park Inn is a Victorian era bed and breakfast. Parking is available on the streets around the Inn. A tired traveler will find a clean room with a comfortable bed, an overhead ceiling fan and a small room air conditioner. There are two flights of narrow stairs going to the second or third floor. There are three porches one on each floor. The third floor has a kitchen with refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave. The breakfast was ample and there was a baked egg fritata fresh from the oven available every morning and well as lots of coffee, tea, fruit and toast. In the parlor are beach towels and beach chairs that guests may borrow. To walk to the beach from the Inn was only three blocks. I saw beautiful flower gardens and butterflies along the way. Mr DeVito was friendly and helpful offering a way to lower the daily beach badge expense using the Inn's code. He also has a few Ocean Grove badges and will lend one out if it is available. After enjoying a day at the shore, a bather heads to the outdoor shower where there are clean towels and plenty of warm water. Main Avenue where one can find restaurants is located about six or seven blocks walk south."

"This property was Excellent in all aspects. Street parking is difficult. So give yourselves extra time to look for a spot, but it's well worth the wait. Breakfast is delicious and the caretakers are very attentive."

"Easy check in and check out! Staff was so nice and helpful! Beds were very comfy! Shower stall was a little small but the towels were soft which is a huge plus! Loved having a fridge in the room and beach accessories to use, especially the bikes! One of the bikes needed to be fixed but we let the inn keeper know. Overall a great stay!"

"This is not a review for the public: It is for the host and Expedia/VRBO. I must explain my ratings. I have stayed at The Allenhurst in Ocean Grove, NJ many times in the past and it has been quite fine. This time, I had difficulty communicating with the host so I tried reserving an Allenhurst room on the Expedia/VRBO website. On that listing, I was misled by the poorly displayed additional proprietor's fee of $150 plus a service fee of $53, and I ended up spending more than double the price I believed the room cost. Even worse than that was communicating. I let the host know that I would be arriving very late at night but did not receive the property access code and was unsuccessful reaching the host when I arrived at the property. I then struggled for over an hour to get the code from VRBO/Expedia online. I finally got a Expedia/VRBO phone number and got through to an agent who, once I reached him, was very kind, patient and helpful. But I should not have had an hours-long struggle to reach him. Therefore, because I was mislead about the charges and because I didn't receive the access code prior to traveling, and because it was so very difficult to get any help online or to reach an agent, I am very reluctant to use Expedia/VRBO again without assurance from your administration that this will be improved and not recur. Thank you for your attention to this. I look forward to hearing from you in this regard. - ZB"

"A very nice efficiency apartment in a quiet area in Ocean Grove. The only issue we had was that heat for our unit cannot be controlled so we needed to keep a window open a bit. Otherwise this was a nice place to stay for our visit to New Jersey."
