"Great place for our family. The kids loved seeing the ducks come up to the window. The staff were all lovely and very friendly. The room was a bit run down but didn't affect our stay."
Lake house with panoramic view

"Taupo - what a stunning place to visit! The house exceeded our expectations and very comfortably accommodated seven adults. Everything that we needed was supplied and the woodpile came in very handy for a nice fire that kept the whole house warm and cosy. The township was an easy drive away and the views of Lake Taupo from the deck were an added bonus. We drove up to the snowfields of Mount Ruapehu (about 2 hours drive) and were rewarded with a beautiful day and plenty of snow. Huka Falls was only a 20 minute drive from the house and Hobbiton (where the Lord of the Rings was primarily filmed) was a two and a half drive through stunning scenery. The house was a perfect place to base ourselves. The bedrooms had plenty of room with lots of doonas and blankets for everyone. The living room, kitchen and bathrooms had plenty of room so we weren't falling over each other and there was no problem with the hot water system so we all had nice hot showers. I would highly recommend this house to travellers and we will definitely book this house again when we next visit New Zealand."

"The property is gorgeous in a lovely little cul de sac. The check in info was wrong, as the code provided didn't open the key safe, but once we got that sorted we were really happy with how it was all presented. It was slightly disappointing to rent a whole house, but have what seemed likely to be a master bedroom sealed off and unable to be used. The house is very high tech, almost to much. It took some time to figure the blinds out, and some hadn't been charged so didn't open and close, and it took some time to figure out why. The dishwasher also played up, no idea what was wrong with it, but eventually started working again. It's a really high end property, very luxurious, and no doubt would be wonderful to live in, but for a few days all felt a little complicated for us. It would have been nice to have some essentials like shower gel and shampoo provided as well. Overall, It was good value for money considering how luxurious it felt."

"Check in was easy and host was more than accomodating especially with the bad weather. The premises was immaculate, bathroom was amazing and bed comfy. Just far enough out of town that it was quiet but close enough to easily get to town with ease. Local takeways also top notch too .Definitely recommend "
