"The staff at this small hotel were excellent and so friendly. The rooms are reasonable size, but a little tight to lay suitcases out. The en-suites are a good size & in reasonable condition and well cleaned. The food was tasty and well serviced."

"Varis House is perfectly located to get around Lewrick. The accommodations were comfortable and when we needed something, we had a quick and great response from the hosts. Enjoyed the fresh baked goods and fresh fruit salad for breakfast. Thank you!"

"With Cruise ships blighting Lerwick, this country hotel overlooking the sea was a good find. a very individual inn, not quirky but functional. Showing it's age just a tad but would certainly say that it is good value for money (includes a cooked breakfast). Great location for visiting the northern islands of Yell and Unst as well as Scalloway and North Mavine. Roads on Shetland, especially the A Roads are well engineered and maintained so you can get everywhere on Mainland in an hour from here if you have hire car."
