"A Truly Special Place There are hotels where you simply sleep, and then there are places that stay with you long after you’ve left. La Tienda Nueva is firmly in the second category. From the moment we arrived, we were less like guests and more like friends. Warmth, genuine hospitality and passion for both the guesthouse and the beautiful village of Cómpeta shine through in everything. The guesthouse itself is stunning. Beautifully restored, immaculately clean and thoughtfully designed, it perfectly blends traditional Andalusian charm with modern comfort. Every detail has clearly been considered. The rooms are peaceful, the communal spaces are welcoming and the rooftop terrace is the perfect place to unwind and take in the atmosphere of this incredible white village. What really made our stay special wasn’t just the accommodation, it was the feeling. It felt calm, authentic and refreshingly personal. In a world of chain hotels and impersonal check-ins, La Tienda Nueva reminds you what hospitality is supposed to be. Cómpeta is a magical place in its own right, with its winding streets, friendly locals and breathtaking mountain scenery, and La Tienda Nueva is the perfect base from which to experience it. We arrived looking forward to a holiday and left with memories we’ll treasure. Thank you for creating somewhere so special. We will absolutely be back, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend La Tienda Nueva to anyone looking for an unforgettable"

"We had a fantastic stay, Jeremy was a star and so helpful from the minute we arrived morning was too much trouble, Maria and her staff we were super friendly and helpful even Lola the dog and Coco the cat got in on the act, making our stay the best Our room was amazing and very comfortable with spectacular views. Jeremy recommended restaurants/bars & places to explore. The breakfast was perfect and plenty of it too. Stunning pool are sun area. It’s the only place to stay in Frigiliana. We would definitely recommend anyone visiting the area to stay here Thank you to Maria Jeremy and the great staff. You made our stay 👌🙏"
El Escalador - Detached finca in the mountains outside Competa

"We had a great stay at this villa. It was very clean, well equipped and well kept inside and out. The drive up from the main road is not for the faint hearted and very steep in sections but after a few trips becomes easier. Our host Tom was very helpful and communicative. There was plenty of parking/ outdoor space. The heated pool was kept in excellent condition. The surrounding views were outstanding and overall very private. The ‘air conditioning’ is in fact ceiling fans in the bed rooms only which at first were disappointed about but they turned out to be very efficient. The location from Competa, a delightful white village is about 15mins drive but aside from that there’s only a English style restaurant/bar ‘Pavo Real’ nearby, which, on the two occasions we visited wasn’t open. Maybe we just got our timings wrong? However Competa has many lovely places to eat and drink at very affordable prices and although there are mainly tourists and expats it had a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The coast is about a 30 minute drive where there’s plenty of activity and bigger supermarkets and shops."

"I had two nights here. Everything is clean, staff very friendly. Breakfast is not very clear, maybe a menu for hot food? I didn't realise there was hot food until I saw someone else receive a plate of eggs! Would definitely stay again...I might even come back next weekend 🤗"

"We had the best holiday, so much so that we have booked again for next year! The property has everything you need, it’s really spacious and comfortable. The outdoor area is just the best. The views are incredible. Every meal was out on the terrace, the kids loved the pool and exploring in the garden. Nick and Manou are excellent hosts nothing is too much trouble. When in the area we love Burriana beach ( great for families), Torrox Costa."
