The COVID-19 outbreak has transformed the world in endless ways, including our approach to travel. The following tips will help you better understand the new challenges and prepare you for your escape to Thespiis:

• Research if any travel restrictions apply to your destination and origin before booking your flight. Also check if there are any special conditions you'll need to follow on arrival, such as testing and quarantining.
• Keep your face mask on during airport screening. A TSA officer will ask you to lower your mask temporarily to verify your identity.
• To reduce the likelihood of cross-contamination, place your boarding pass on the scanner yourself and then hold it up for inspection. Do not hand your boarding pass directly to a TSA employee.
• TSA now permits passengers to take one container of hand sanitizer, up to 12 oz (350 ml) in size, in carry-on baggage. This will need to be removed from your bag and submitted for screening.
• Remove items from your pocket, like your wallet and phone, and put them in your carry-on rather than into bins. This will reduce handling during screening.
• Separate any food you have for X-ray screening. Putting it in a clear plastic bag and into a bin reduces the need for a TSA officer to touch and inspect your belongings.
