After knowing it had been my birthday the day before checking in and we were in a short trip as a family to celebrate, the lady checking us in was so kind as to upgrade our two double beds room to a 2 bedroom suite. The underground parking at the hotel was a bit expensive though.

Unfortunately, the pictures look a lot better than what the actual hotel is
Upon checking in, the staff was nice, but it went downhill from there. I entered the room and it was absolutely disgusting. Imagine walking into a room that’s supposed to be clean and finding hair in the sink and a wet bathtub, carpet is disgusting, this is not a good hotel and there’s much better options out there
It’s unfortunate, but I would not recommend

The hotel is very well located in downtown Ottawa. The area is surrounded by restaurants, bars and a big mall.
Rooms (including mattress and pillows are of very good quality. Staff are gentle and professional and always eager to help.
The swimming pool is ok.
