"The ice machine was broken which was a bummer. The remote to the tv wouldn’t let me access the streaming apps so it was very limiting to watch anything. I think the worst was as I was unpacking I found a crack pipe in one of the drawers. Probably won’t be staying there again but okay in a pinch for a one-night stay."

Judi, the host, has always been so helpful and accommodating. The duffy boat around Lido and Balboa can't be beat for a great weekend getaway!"

"This is a laid-back beach vacation home, not fancy, but well supplied. What is spectacular about it is the location. You cross the street, and you are on a beautiful beach, frolicking with friendly locals. It’s in a quiet neighborhood, and has a front patio area for enjoying morning coffee while watching people bicycle by with their surfboards. The supplied boogie boards and other beach equipment save you the hassle and expense of renting them, which is invaluable in our estimation. The host was easygoing, and made check-in and check-out flexible and uncomplicated with our travel schedule, which we truly appreciate. The place is quite spacious. It seems we came during unusually hot weather, so the air conditioner in the living room had a hard time, and the bedrooms were pretty hot for sleeping, even with fans to move the air around, but presumably that’s not the case when there isn’t a crazy heat wave. If you can accept that some things may not be in great repair, the tradeoff is remarkable beach access for a comparatively reasonable price."
