The room design in a converted building brilliantly retained a lovely bay window; the kitchen amenities are cleverly done and extensive. The bathroom is spacious and modern; the beds were comfortably firm, with typical duvet bedding. The hotel offered good "happy hour" wines and the staff was unfailingly friendly, competent and helpful, especially Ofelia.

Our room was on the top floor with a spiral staircase and although a staff member helped carry the suitcase up there was no one to bring it down for us. "The hotel had wonderful old-world charm, the staff was great! The room could have been better. I understand a lot of Europeans don't use AC but at least have a fan in the room, or at least screens on the windows so you can leave them open at night. All hotels should have blackout shades in the 21st ..."
