We loved the place. The three separate apartments worked out great for the 17 of us. The place was clean, the pool and hot tub were great and we would love to stay there again.

Our stay was enjoyable. We had 13 family members gather for the holiday's, ranging in age from 7 to 87. The property gave us the ability to gather together or find some solitude when needed. The pool and pickle board court were used often. There were some minor issues but they were resolved quickly.We would recommend this property and stay again.

Incredible views!

Couldn’t have chose a better place for our softball team. It has such beautiful views. We got up every morning at 7:15am to watch the sunrise and around 8:15-8:30am to watch the dolphin pods swim by. So much space with 3 different “houses.” We are definitely planning on staying again here! Highly recommend.

Perfect home for our family reunion!

This is our second stay at this property and we will be back! The three living spaces work perfectly for our family. We loved being in the pool and enjoying the amazing view. We were lucky enough to see a space launch from the Kennedy Space Center directly across the river. The kids enjoyed sunbathing on the pier. The beach towels provided at the property were greatly appreciated. We cooked our meals in; the kitchen is well equipped. It was also nice to have plenty of parking and two covered spots. Overall, I highly recommend!!

Great place for family fun !

The property was amazing with plenty of room for the 24 of us celebrating our annual Family Vacation. The ages of our group went from 1 1/2 to75 years old (young). The space was great to allow togetherness without being on top of each other. The pool, jacuzzi and deck for fishing gave all of us something to do. We rented a pontoon boat and explored a little island to the northeast of the property. We played pickleball on the property court. The Owner and Property Manager were very friendly and welcomed us ! Overall, a super home to provide a setting for our “2024 Family Vacation Making Memories Together” !

This was our second stay at Herring House for a family reunion. We absolutely loved the space and the incredible views of the Indian River and the two space launches from Kennedy Space Center. JR was a wonderful host and incredibly responsive. The home is well-appointed with everything we needed for a stay with a large family. I definitely recommend it!

Gorgeous waterfront home for family getaway

We stayed here for a 4-day family vacation and couldn't have been more pleased. The house is expansive, clean, and just gorgeous. We spent hours in and around the pool, watching dolphins swim by in the river and playing with my toddler son. We had everything we needed and David was extremely helpful. I only regret I never had a chance to soak in the master bathroom jetted tub. We would definitely stay here again!

Great backyard, views, and main living area!

Our stay was great! The owner/property manager was responsive and we had no issues. It wasn’t clear to us from the listing that the property consists of 3 separate units that are not connected indoors. We used 2 of the units and it worked out quite well for us. Thank you!

Family Reunion

This house was perfect for our 14 person family reunion. Our group ranged from 21-91 years old and it was perfect for everyone. The bedrooms are well appointed and the floor plan allowed for plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen and two dining tables allowed our group to prepare and enjoy big family meals. The pool, dock and corn hole were well used. Our host JR was outstanding and very pleasant to work with. I believe this group would all return for a repeat visit.

Shuttle Launch

We came for the shuttle Launch April 29th but it was scrubbed and we ended up staying until the May 9th. It was an awesome vacation away from Michigan. The owner and manager were very easy to get along with and they were there if any problems accured (no problems). The pictures DO NOT do this place justice. The kids loved it there and did not want to leave. Over all I would have to give this a 10!!! Looking forward to our next visit!!!!

Very spacious home with four large bedrooms and bathrooms. Very comfortable for our vacation. We wished it had a barbecue. Also water pressure was poor and it took a long time to get hot water. The pool would have been more useful if it was heated. All in all a great place to stay with lots of room for the large group of us! We also got lucky and the rocket launch at Cape Canaveral was postponed before we arrived and so it launched while we were there. This house gave us front row seats! Thanks!

Breathtaking views and awesome house

We have rented tons of vacation house and this house here was in our top 3 of all time. I highly recommend this place. The view is unmatched. KSC is right across the river and the sunrises are amazing. The house was clean and tastefully decorated. The location is central..1 hour to Disney, 45 minutes to airport, 45 minutes to Daytona, 30 minutes to KSC and Cocoa Beach. The back of the house has a dock, a beautiful pool, and a great view. The caretaker was nice and helpful but not intrusive. The property owner was quick with responses and incredibly nice. The only problem that we had was the hot tub heater was not working.

Perfect for our family get-together.

Three siblings and our families from maryland and virginia planned a get-together with our parents and siblings who live in Cocoa and Merritt island. This house was perfect for us. Spacious, clean, plenty of privacy when needed, and great common spaces - including the pool deck and yard on the river - for spending time together. The set-up with four bedrooms and four baths was ideal for us. The master suite is huge. We were able to watch a rocket launch from the patio, and enjoyed the wonderful waterfront view from the pool and hot tub. Bring an extra pillow if you are used to more than one. We'll probably be back the next time we plan to see family in the area. We would highly recommend the house. Thank you Vicky and David.

Big, Beautiful house

The house and location are absolutely beautiful but we had issues with bed bugs (twin beds) and ants on the counter top and around the pool area. So disappointing to spend over $5,000 for 5 days and have these issues. We talked to the guy who manages the house and he told us it wasn't bed bug. He said the house keeper washed a maroon comforter with the white bed covers. No one else in our group of 14 got bites except the 2 people sleeping in those twin beds. When we told the manager about the ants, he said it was too late to do anything about the issue. My teammates took pictures of the bedding and of their bites. Such a disappointment. Loved the privacy and location.

Beautiful Home - Best Family Vacation

Thank you! We had the best time staying at your beautiful and immaculate home March 18th – March 26th 2017. Dave (caretaker) welcomed us and made arrangements for us to arrive early, which was the best way to start our vacation! He gave us a quick but thorough tour of the 4,000 square foot residence, and made sure we were comfortable before leaving us to enjoy our much needed family time. Even with our big group (7 adults and one toddler) we had plenty of room, even when we were all cooking in the deluxe kitchen, or watching basketball in the spacious and comfortable family room. We even had dinners and game nights at both dining room tables. But our favorite place to relax was hanging out at the pool. The entire house is elegant, clean and comfortable; beautifully decorated with high end furniture, cabinets, appliances, flooring, and bedding. All four bathrooms were amazing too – especially the master suite! The four king beds with four full baths were perfect, no one felt like they drew the short straw and were stuck in cramped accommodations. Every room had plenty of room, closets, pillow and blankets. Providing linens, towels, and a washer and dryer made packing for the week so easy, thank you! We saw a rocket launch, dolphins, and with the dock green night light we even saw stingrays and horseshoe crabs. The lawn area was great for games of wiffle ball and to throw a football around, then jump in the pool afterwards. Wish the pool heater was working – we would have enjoyed more time in the water than just sitting around it. The house made our visits to Disney one day and Kennedy Space Center another day very convenient. But our favorite was waking up to a beautiful sunrise, enjoying a cup of coffee on the back patio. We had the best family vacation – thank you so much!

Perfect Family Getaway

This house was amazing. The view on the lake was wonderful and great to look out to every morning. We got to witness a rocket launching which was a once in a lifetime experience. The host was beyond great, we had an issue with the a/c that was immediately addressed and he was always available to answer any question that we had. We were about 25-30 minutes way from the beach and about an hour away from Sea World. The nearest Walmart was about 10 minutes away as which worked out great. The house was clean and had lots of features and amenities for our family of 16 adults to stay in with plenty of space. We used the massage chair daily as well as the pool/hot tub. We can't wait to stay here again!

Family Reunion in Florida

The 1st floor of the home is really nice; 4 bedrooms and lots of extras like hardwood, stone and crown molding. The 2nd floor is OK but not as nice as the first floor. The listing has photos of rooms that are not part of the rental Pictures showed a room with 2 beds but that was not on the property. Listing states toiletries provided but that was only bar soap in the showers and hand soap at the sinks, nothing else so bring your own shampoo! Unit also only provides 1 extra roll of toilet paper in each toilet and we had a group of 14 for 6 days and anyone knows that 1 extra roll would not be enough. All said, we had to buy our own. Also, only 1 extra trash bag in the kitchen, seems cheap to rent a 7 bedroom home for over for 5 nights and have to purchase your own trash bags and toilet paper! Lastly, property manager was polite but was slow in answering texts and calls. Took 3 hours to respond to a request for a toilet plunger and with 6 toilets you would think a plunger would be on the site. Again, nope and we had to purchase our own plunger also because of the slow response from the manager. All said, the property was fine and our family had a great time with the pool and view.
