Very close proximity to Oedo Line (A1 exit). Bit of a walk to JR Line. 7-11 and Family Mart very close by. Nice hotel, friendly staff. Language barrier, but they tried their best. Furniture in room needs updating (squeaky drawers, loose cabinet hinges). Great for the price!!
The front staff was very welcoming, amenities were very good, and the room service did a great job keeping our room clean. On top of that, the location itself is very convenient as it is near a beautiful park, multiple convenience stores, a whole lot of restaurants, and is right next to the train station. Would 100% book again
This property met our expectations. For the price point, it was the hotel that we needed. We do not spend a lot of time in our hotel rooms when we travel, so it was everything we expected and needed in Tokyo. The Ryogoku area was great. Nice, quiet and peaceful at night after days of hustle and bustle in Tokyo. Nice neighborhood with a few excellent small restaurants. The Ryogoku Station is literally right next to the hotel. So convenient and is a great connector to all main lines. 7-11 is almost in the lobby (just outside) - so handy. Queen bed was very comfortable. Outstanding water pressure, temperature and shower. Space is small as most hotels in Tokyo. Room was hot until we reached out and the staff explained to turn off the “A/C” button on our room controls. After that, with the window vent open, temperature was very comfortable. Major highlight was a spectacular view of Skytree. Wonderful at night with its illumination. If you are looking for five stars and a pool, go downtown … but for the price point, this is a great hotel. We stayed four nights and would book again.
No doubt, the rooms are a little dated, but everything was so clean. Rooms are way bigger than most hotels in Tokyo as well. There are convenience stores and restaurants around the hotel as well which was extremely helpful. The train station (Oedo line) is just a minute’s walk away, right beside the hotel.
Amenities are sufficient, but the variety is slightly lacking compared to others. That’s not an issue though.
Staff were extremely helpful and kind.

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities
We had a very pleasant stay at the Daiichi Hotel in Ryogoku. The hotel was clean, tidy, and well-maintained throughout our visit. Although the staff didn’t speak a lot of English, they were incredibly helpful and friendly. When we mentioned that we prefer a colder room to sleep in, they quickly brought us a fan since the heating was on — a small gesture that made a big difference.
The location is also a major plus. The hotel offers easy access to the underground metro and the nearby station, which made getting around Tokyo simple and convenient.
Overall, a comfortable stay with thoughtful service in a great location. Would happily stay again!
Very hospitable and friendly, excellent breakfast with calm and welcoming atmosphere, not far from the train station to travel out, an overall excellent hotel!
Great Stay at Dai-ichi Hotel Ryogoku!
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The location is very convenient. There is a Toei station right next to the building, and the JR line is only about a 5-minute walk away. There are also plenty of local markets, drugstores, and convenience stores in the area, which made it easy to grab anything we needed.
The hotel itself feels quite luxurious, and the room size is surprisingly large for Japan. The bathroom is also big and very comfortable, which made getting ready each day so much easier. Housekeeping came daily and kept everything clean and refreshed.
Overall, a very comfortable and convenient stay. I would definitely return!
This was perfect for my single-traveller needs. The room was great, had a tremendous view of Tokyo Skytree, the staff was extremely friendly, courteous, and professional, and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.
Daiichi Ryogoku is easy to reach by train when you fly from Haneda, and the hotel is just next to Ryogoku station, 7Eleven and Family Mart is just in front of the hotel which is good for buying some items when needed. The Skytree view is beautiful fron this hotel.
Absolutely loved this hotel. We were on the 23rd floor, and it was such a gorgeous view and a spacious and luxurious room.
The area was very quiet, super safe, and very walkable with a close-by train station to get wherever you need to go in Tokyo.
There was a convenient little vending machine area with alcohol, ice, snacks, soft drinks, etc. inside the hotel. Besides that there were 2(?) restaurants inside the hotel that we didn't visit but looked very nourishing!
All in all, I'd rate this a 9/10.
I stayed here after my group tour was over and it was an amazing experience. My room had an excellent view, the breakfast was delicious, and the staff were very accomodating with my lack of japanese. Overall if i ever get to go back to japan, i'd want to stay here again!
