By day it's just another narrow alleyway common in Tokyo, but at night the street turns into a mini nightlife area for the salarymen of Tokyo. With numerous tiny #bar lining up, the nickname comes from the fact in the past so many drunk salarymen doing their "bussiness" there because there's no toilet anywhere in this alleyway. Today, regulation has been set in the area so it is a lot cleaner than before. The alleyway is very narrow and can only fit at maximum 2 people at a time so be mindful of your surrounding when visiting especially when there's many drunk people walking by from the bars. The bars are also very tiny and can only fit less than 10 people at a time. If you are not claustrophobic give them a try, it's a special experience on its own :)

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Villa Fontaine Tokyo - Shinjuku. The staff were exceptionally polite and attentive, the room was impeccably clean, and the location was incredibly convenient—perfect for exploring the city

Room was clean and staff was great. When booking the hotel, it only said wired internet, but the hotel did have WiFi which was good. The only thing was the room size. The living space was smaller than anticipated because the bathroom turn out to be huge, so when sq ft was stated in the booking, a lot of it went to the bathroom.

The room was small but larger than similar rooms at other properties it definitely did not feel like a shoebox there was room to walk around the bed and access the bathroom which was a very good size with a shower and a tub. The staff was amazing very respectful very differential and willing to cater to you every need. All of the signs and important papers are presented in multiple languages which can’t be said for every property in Tokyo. As far as the location is concerned it can’t be beat if you’re looking for a nice quiet comfortable hotel that’s Minutes from restaurants and shopping this is the place for you

The hotel was in Korea town, there were lots of dining options and shopping to enjoy. It was a very lively area, very bust, people everywhere, lots happening. Even so, the hotel was very quiet. The staff were very friendly and kind. We had the luxury of our own sauna, it was great.

The hotel offers exactly what was described and shown in the pictures. No more, no less. It is located just behind the wildest and most colorful part of Shinjuku, so you are right in the thick of things. Whether you like that or not depends on your personal preferences. The staff are very friendly and courteous, as they are everywhere in Japan.
