This place is just a bit of a walk from Iriya station on the Hibiya line but it's still a good choice of you wanna be close to Ueno, Asakusa, and Akihabara
We stayed in 4 different hotels in Tokyo and this was the one we liked the most. If we were to come back to Japan we would definitely stay here again. The rooms had decent space, the area was peaceful and there were a 7eleven and metro station nearby, which was very convenient.

Recommendations for Improvement
Difficult to bring the luggage to the 2nd floor, best to have lifting service helping Ladies, elderly and those with disabilities.
And, sharing bath room is a bit odd.
Really nice Ryokan. Me and my family really enjoyed our stay. It's conveniently located and my father loved the public bath!
One minor point was that the table in our tatami room was dusty so when we poured tea there was dust in the cup. Besides this we had no complaints.
Asciugamani e rifornimenti di the/caffè cambiati quotidianamente.
Value for money is superb. One-third price of basic businessman's hotel room. I hesitate to recommend lest it now become full every night! Price increases on weekends on holidays, as is standard in Japan.
Location is so-so. Close to Taito Lifelong Learning Centre and not far from 'Street of Kitchen Knives'.
Breakfast (I had Japanese) was very good. I think the fish had been frozen, but what do you expect your 5000 JPY?
Staff were very good - senior Mr. Sato, his daughter and son-in-law Mr. Suzuki (was the elder lady also family?) Service was very good.
Room was good, especially deep (albeit small) bathtub, couch in room, and western bed. Don't expect beautiful. It is functiobal - previsely what I wanted and expected on my low budget.
Other: elevator. Obvious 'Oyo' sign. I did not try on-site 24-hour Japanese bath, as I had my own in room plus tried the closest 'Sento' (public bath) which was nothing to write home about.
