This is such a convenient hotel to stay at since it is right next to Tokyo Station. You are able to take a train straight to Narita Airport. The hotel is a bit pricy but because it’s a fancy hotel with great staff who go out of their way. The rooms themselves are also great and the view on either side is also wonderful. If you are on the garden view side, the only negative thing I can think of is that you will hear the train but it’s nothing you can’t ignore since it’s not too loud. I haven’t tried their food but I can imagine it is great as well. I will have to try next time

Shangri-La Tokyo is conveniently located next to Tokyo Station and was a great place to begin and end our trip to Japan. The views from the rooms were spectacular especially at night. The staff was wonderful and they made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. And the breakfast at the hotel restaurant was delicious especially the strawberry waffles and ricotta pancakes. We appreciated that the staff spoke English as we only spoke a little Japanese. We really enjoyed staying at this hotel.

Loved that they accommodated last minute spa services for us. We loved our room and the view of the city. Rooms are a bit outdated but the service was great. Room service was wonderful, breakfast buffet was very nice.

I stay Shangri-La Hotel Tokyo every time I go to Tokyo. This time I booked a room with Horizon Club access. Check-in, cocktail time and breakfast were all enjoyed in a different atmosphere than usual.

It's a beautiful hotel conveniently located next to Tokyo Station. Staff was attentive and friendly and cleanliness and service was top notch. Things that were not the greatest - charged a 2000 yen cover charge each for me and my husband (our two kids were not charged) for the live music in the Lobby Lounge even though the music didn't start until one hour after our dinner - which is right when we were leaving/ wrapping up. We paid extra for the Horizons Lounge - and while lovely and great service, the price did not commensurate with what was provided. When we reserved our room it stated that it slept four (we had stated that we had two adults, two kids) but when we arrived they only had one king - no "day bed" as listed and said that they were short of extra beds. After a little shuffling the moved us to a room with two beds but still tight...

Second time staying with Shangri La Tokyo, room felt like a downgrade from our recent stay at Ascott Marunouchi Tokyo (2-bedroom executive suite). However, in comparison, the service at Shangri-La Tokyo staff was way better offering amenities for children, both hotels were able to provide 2PM late check out upon request during Cherry blossom season. Stand out feature was breakfast experience at Piacere - the Hayama Egg Benedict Original Recipe 1894 was perfection!! Wait Staff Thu Thu was truly memorable and elevated our experience. Check out was quick and the only faux pas was luggage was not sent down to our taxi within time, despite pre-booking.

GREAT ROOM WITH AVERAGE SERVICE

+ Right in front Tokyo Station + Awesome bedroom and cleaning service - Very average gym. Swimming pool closes very early - Concierge are off work at 7pm, so if you need any help from the front desk they, and I quote, “can’t have the responsibility to help to book a restaurant and recommend you wait till the next day” I don’t like their front desk support, maybe for bad luck with some problematic staff, but if you are Japanese, go for it. If you are white, just go for the Mandarin, they will serve you better there.

Overall the property is beautiful and impeccable, which one would expect from Shangri-La. I had been trained/treated by other Shangri-La hotels with small daily touches such as chocolates, notes, etc.. There were no such daily gifts at this Tokyo hotel which seemed like a small miss.
