The Cosy Cat Cottage is a welcoming renovated cottage located in the heart of Mort Estate, Toowoomba. As one of the three original workers cottages listed on the heritage trail, the cottage retains all the details and ambiance of its heritage charm, whilst also providing guests with the luxury of modern amenities. We are pet friendly.

**** Pet Friendly Requirements ****

1. All pets must be pre-approved. Please include information about your pet in your booking request, advising breed, age etc. There is a $30 per dog/per stay fee.

2. We accept dogs and cats.

3. Pets are to be kept off all beds and furniture. Evidence of pets being on beds can have an impact on the guests damage deposit.

4. Pets must never be left alone inside the cottage. We have a secure, high fenced backyard and large outside deck.

5. Due to our gardens and neighbours we are unable to accept dogs who bark and/or dig consistently. Well behaved dogs are welcome!

Amazing!

The best dog friendly property I’ve ever stayed at - they’ve truly thought of everything. It was a huge relief having a safe (high fenced) yard for the dogs to stay in while we were out complete with dog beds and kennels and the treats left for the dogs were a lovely touch.We felt very at home while we were there - it was clean, cosy and well presented and we would definitely stay again.

The cottage is a clean and comfortable space in the most historic part of Toowoomba but has all the modern conveniences. The provisions available for people and their pets are exceptional

Delightful cosy cottage

So warm and inviting. Janice abd Michael added so many little touches such as biscuits, chocolates, dog treats to make us feel welcome. Delightful. Walk to main street, parks and gardens.

Delightful and Indulgent

We had a lovely stay at The Cosy Cat Cottage with our elderly cat, Paddington. Michael and Janice are the most considerate, thoughtful and generous hosts. Everything was taken care of to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable, from bathrobes to chocolates, fresh roses and much much more. The best accommodation we’ve stayed in for a long time. We’ll be back!

Heavenly Doggie cottage

Janice and Michael were incredible hosts, they thought about everything. So thoughtful, caring and accommodations. So many treats and everything you could dream for for the fur babies. Went above and beyond. Really understand what customer service is and give guests the best home away from home . We are so very grateful!!!

The Best Home Stay Ever!

Everything was perfect: - Thoughtful and communicative hosts; - Beautiful home; - Great for pets - just follow the very sensible rules to ensure no damage to the clean white linen and funiture. Fortunately, ours is a floor dog. No adjustment required; - The kitchen is brilliant. Really enjoyed slowing down for a weekend and cooking here; - Don't over schedule your Toowoomba trip if staying at The Cosy Cat Cottage, if like us you may want to just chill and enjoy the home. 6 stars if I could!

Beautiful Cottage

Cleaniness is excellent and the house is situated in a quiet neighbourhood, but close to all conveniences the City has to offer. Just first class in everyway. You won't be disappointed.

Lovely place to stay. Close to the city shops. very quiet location and central for our needs. Very neat and tidy. Loved the loaf of bread and milk in the fridge. The kids loved the chocies, I loved the biscuits. Would stay there again.

Excellent property, heaps of character - care for both you and your pets

A gorgeous cottage, beautifully renovated. Great kitchen, fully equipped with everything you need including huge stove. Outside was not one, but two dog kennels and a futon for them to sleep on while we were out on the deck. A wonderful place to spend Christmas, lots of extras to make you feel special. Loving Restored Old Miners Cottage

The property was advertised accurately. Lovely restored cottage. With the little extras provided. The extras made us feel welcome and that we didn’t need much for the first few days. Beds were very comfortable and the fans helping sleep at night when it was hot. Thanks so much to Janice and Michael, they were the perfect hosts.

Cosy Cat is Outstanding

This property has lots of wonderful welcoming additions that you would not find in most accommodations. Biscuits, chocolates, pantry items, milk and butter, take home slippers for guests and treats for my dog too! The house is well equipped for both 2 legged and 4 legged guests and is comfortable, colourful, clean and cosy. I highly recommend The Cosy Cat cottage as the place to stay in Toowoomba!

The perfect place for a break

Cosy Cat Cottage was everything we could have hoped for and more. An absolute little gem in a treasure chest of a location. A beautifully restored miners cottage, with a peaceful and calm ambience. Janice’s original and joyful artworks throughout the cottage inspired creativity to flow. Wonderfully set up for pets - Nina dog just loved “her Toowoomba home!” Hosts Janice and Michael were the absolute best. They had considered everything and included so many extra thoughtful touches. Just truly beautiful, caring and empathic people. Couldn’t recommend them more highly and we will definitely visit again in the future.
